Close to Downtown and Highway
Had a great time. Staff were excellent and helpful. You definitely get what you pay for with overall quality of beds/furnishings, but totally doable if you aren't picky. Couldn't hear noise from street. Only real complaint would be the water for the shower - one second you'd be enjoying a great shower, then all of a sudden you were burning hot or freezing cold. Next to the hotel there is Mexitas Mexican restaurant you can walk to for quick eats. Also a CVS for any basic supplies you may need. TV worked great, internet was fast, AC worked great.

It is what it is
For the price its decent. If you just need a place to sleep that is close to what Austin has to offer it is fine. We walked the city for a few days and this place was pretty centrally located to it all. And waffles for breakfast rock!

Awesome choice for budget-minded in d-town Austin
My boyfriend and I chose this place while in Austin on a roadtrip through Texas. This place was one of the cheapest options in the downtown area that had free parking, so we chose this. The room itself needed to be updated (our tv remote didn't work, internet connection was shotty, shower curtain had some mold) and by the time we got to breakfast at 8:30, everything had been eaten except for waffle mix. Outside of this, this place was perfect for getting to downtown. This is definitely the best deal in the area and would still stay here again if I'm back in the area and wanted to have quick access to the downtown area and the university.

Two nights to stay
I just wanted a cheap hotel to stay for the two nights I was in Austin. I wasn't expecting much and it had what I needed although I thought the pillow was too hard and the comforter was really thin, like it's been washed a couple hundred times but it served its purpose.

Clean rooms, great location. It is nothing fancy, but the price is about as good as you can get in downtown Austin.

Do no recommend
This hotel caters to the hard partying college crowd. Gangs of kids drinking and yelling before they went out and when they came home after the bars closed. The walls are paper thin and it sounds like a marching band stomping around on the ceiling. I stayed for six nights and only got maid service on two days. Continental breakfast ends at 9:00 am. The pool was dirty and they left the hose in it all day long. WiFi only worked one day.

Super 8
Stayed there for Marley Fest with friends. Was cheap. Front office staff was super slow and frustrating. The ac unit was positioned right under the big curtains, so the air got trapped, making the room hott. Only way to get around it was to open the curtains, but then passerbys could see everything in the room. Overall it wasn't too bad, but you do indeed get what you pay for with this place.

Was apprehensive but pleasantly pleased!
I attended a conference at the convention center, and it was very conveniently located. Room was not fancy, but clean. I felt very safe. Only one evening did I have to go get fresh towels -- the dirty ones were picked up, but she forgot to give me fresh ones. Front desk personnel were very polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
