Very clean!!

This was my first visit to Austin. The hotel was very clean. It is in a good location, by an outdoor mall with nice eateries. The staff was also very helpful. I would recommend staying here.

Clean, Spacious, Great Price!

Very clean and spacious rooms that allowed us to comfortably rest after driving in from San Antonio. Hotel is situated off Loop 1 and around ten minutes from the downtown attractions. Very helpful staff gave us precise directions to the "bat bridge". The pool water was clean and crystal clear.

Good experience

I just stayed for 1 night but everything was good. The room was clean and was well laid out. The Flat screen TV swiveled toward the bed or to the sitting area. The bed was good but nothing special. There is free WiFi in room. The Friday morning breakfast was better then I was expecting. With scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, tortillas, muffins, bagels, biscuits (didn't try those), cereals, oatmeal, and waffles. It was good and I would stay again.

great room, great price

The only problem was with the cable television. We could not get a good signal and it was baseball playoff night! Everything else was great.... no problems!

Not as good as other Springhill Suites

We live in San Antonio and stayed at the Springhill Suites Northwest/Arboretum for Austin City Limits Music Festival 2010. We stayed in a Springhill Suites in 2007 for the same festival and were extremely happy with our lodging. When I made the reservation I thought it was the same location where we stayed previously, but I knew I was mistaken when we arrived. This hotel's location was very convenient, with only a short drive to the downtown ACL shuttle bus pick-up. The hotel staff was polite and friendly (if a little too casual on nights, i.e. flip flops with shirt and tie, but I don't really mind) and housekeeping did a wonderful job. The breakfast bar was a joke. Upon initially entering the room the first night, there was the hugest cockroach I have ever seen on the ceiling. Now, I understand this can happen anywhere, so it wasn't such a big deal. What made this Springhill Suites pale in comparison was the room itself. The bathroom was huge and we had a very comfortable king-sized bed. The "living room" area, however, suffered in size and contained lesser amenities than previous Springhill Suites where we have stayed that had the same room configuration. Overall, it was an average stay for the price, but I would have to recommend other comparably priced Springhill Suites or the Drury Inn over this particular location.
