This hotel is horrible. There was no running hot water and the room smelled like someone smoked 5 minutes before we got there. Glad we only stayed one night.

Will never stay here ever again!

Once we open the door- the room smelled horrible- musty with a hint of cigars! The lighting didnt work, control was out of batteries, and the restrooms were horribly small- you can literally sit on the toilet, turn on the shower AND wash your hands at the same time... This was absolutely my worst experience in a hotel....

Exactly what I expected.

Needed a place to stay near UT. It was a great location, at a fair price.

Noisy, no frills

We couldn't get much sleep as the freeway noise was ridiculous. Location was a pain to get to and from downtown.

Not Bad at All!!

The hotel was clean... i didnt expect much since it is a cheaper hotel.. but the service at the front desk was awesome, when we checked in the man was very helpful and also gave us some good ideas on some places to go and eat and some concerts that were going on. The area was perfect, close to everything that we wanted to visit. i would definitely stay there again when i go back to Austin

Modest hotel in great location

I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to St. David's Medical Center, where my husband was having surgery. The reviews I read were not impressive, but I must say that most were grossly unfair. Although this is not a luxurious hotel by far, it was clean and an excellent choice for those who have come to St. David's from out of town for medical care. I could walk to the hospital from my room and so it was very convenient for me. Free wireless internet functioned beautifully, and this is not always the case in my experience. We had a problem with the air conditioning, which, once mentioned to the staff was rectified right away. This hotel has great potential and would only need a few decorating tips to boost its image. All in all, it was a good stay.

THere are many good restaurants nearby the hotel. Traveling along the IH 35 you can eat just about any type of food from Indian to Chinese to AMerican bistro style restaurants. Shopping nearby is also great.

This place is awful!

I know I didn't book a 5 star resort on this trip but this place was awful! I booked at this hotel because it advertised as pet friendly. I was approached on the grounds within minutes of arriving at this place and was told I wasn't allowed to walk my Golden Retriever on the property grounds. No matter what time of the day he needed to go outside I had to walk him down the access road to the freeway and around the corner so he could use the grass. That isn't very pet friendly to me. This hotel also has cockroaches. I saw two while staying there. The staff was rude. We requested clean towels and the staff was rude about giving us clean towels because that's "the maid's job." The maid wouldn't come in our room because we had the dog (understandable) but we still needed new towels. Parking is lacking at this hotel and some of it is on the access road to the freeway.

noisy

This hotel was right next to the freeway, and very noisy all night long. Neighborhood was not the best, and room doors open to the outside, so it did not feel very safe. The staff was friendly and helpful, but one does not get a good night's sleep.
