excellent option
The room was great and comfortable and the location of the hotel was great for walking everywhere. The guest services (ie daily breakfast and social hour) was always good and helped to save money on food. The only complaint was that the water smelled and tasted terrible. Thank God there was free beer!

great room for the price until check out
we visited the live music scene and loved it. One of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. My only complaint was being handed a bill for nearly $100.00 for parking. I was even charged a full day for the day I checked out at 10am.

Perfect downtown location
The rooms were immaculate! Very clean and cozy. They had everything one could need and a full kitchen. It is the perfect location to go out in downtown Austin, restaurants, clubs, ect on 6th and 4th street are all within walking distance. We would definitely stay there again but would try and work out different parking. We had 3 cars and the parking for one night was almost as much as the room. That is the one and only complaint I have.

small rooms for a Residence Inn
Staff was very attentive; beds were very comfortable but the rooms were small and the bathroom was part of the main bedroom so the 2 teens using the small sofa bed had to traipse thru mom and dad's room to get to the bathroom.

Good place for a fair price
The residence inn at Austin was a really nice place to stay for our 4 day trip. The room was recently remondeled and very nice for a hotel. We never did get time to check out the pool, but if it was as nice as the room and lobby i am sure it was great. My only real negative comment for our stay was that parking was an additional fee. We were caught off guard by this additional daily charge. I guess its partly beucase we are younger (late 20's) and new to traveling, but i was annoyed that it was additional fee. Other than that it was a great place in the right part of downtown Austin.

To have a kitchen in the room made my life easy
I loved the Marriott Residence Inn in Austin. The place was perfectly located, the room was excellent and the breakfast was terrific. Now that having a decent breakfast has become almost a luxury in the hotels, Marriott Residence Inn really won my heart

very comfortable
The Residence Inn in downtown Austin was very comfortable. The room was quiet. I really appreciated the amenities and the ability to rewarm food and have a meal in the room.
