Rooms are old and musty smelling, even the updated ones. Stains on the carpet, and mold in the showers.

NOT Handicapped Accessible As Promised!
Are you kidding?!! I SPECIFICALLY reserved a HANDICAPPED-Ready room and got NOTHING Wheelchair -friendly! The entrance to the room was BARELY adequate to admit the wheelchair (It had to pushed from behind by ANOTHER PERSON because there WASN'T ENOUGH ROOM for the Chair AND the Rider's ARMS to get through at the same time!) The Bathroom was RIDICULOUSLY SMALL as well. NO WAY TO USE A WHEELCHAIR (and VERY UNEASY TO MANEUVER WITH CRUTCHES, which were used as a back-up plan-) The A/C Unit was NOISY as well. Overall, I would not only NOT recommend This Hotel OR your Services, but I will actively COMPLAIN and FILE COMPLAINTS with the appropriate (Handicap-related) Sites, Blogs, etc.. What a waste of time, effort and money!

Ramada Austin Central
The overall experience was ok but when the hotel advertises that it is "within minutes of downtown" this is not actually true. Most of the time there is a lot of traffic and no direct route to downtown so it takes more than a few minutes - this happened EVERY time I made the trip to and fro. Also, not close to the airport. Impossible to get to using public transit. The hotel was extraordinarily average, if that is possible.

Extremely hot
The Ramada Austin Central was extremely hot. When we inquired about our room being so hot, the front desk said they would check on another room and call us back withing 5 minutes. 15 minutes later I called back and they put me off again and never called back. Had every other hotel room in the city not been taken, we would have left.

Mixed reviews here!
I was in town for the Austin City Limits Music Festival. I had no problems with my reservation or checking in. Friendly staff. I was leery of my room location @ first as it was right around the corner from the front desk & the breakfast room, but it wasn't noisy @ all. The first thing to put me off a bit was a stray pubic hair on the side of the bathtub right next to the fresh bathmat/washcloth/soap combo. I let that slide as the rest looked clean. My second night I went to bed & flipped the pillow over underneath me to the cool side. I then lifted my head to adjust & my hair caught on something. Without thinking my hand went to the pillow & I felt something hard. I flipped on the light & there was a nickel sized spot of crusty dried blood. [...]They offered me a free night should I want to stay there again...that's not too likely. [...]

Front desk booked someone in my room
Check in was easy, but the night I got there, the man at the front desk booked someone else in my room, even though the hotel was clearly not full. It's a pretty brutal wake up when you hear someone trying to get into your hotel room. Keep your security chain locked here! Then the next night after working all day, I went back to my room to find that my key cards did not work, likely due to this front desk error. Location is also sub par. It's not a bad area, but it's hard to get to. My GPS had me circling the area a few times, not able to actually get me to the hotel. It was otherwise not a bad stay, but I definitely won't be staying there again after the double booking error.

Hidden unexpected fees
We went to spend the last day with our daughter who was going to new York and we distinctively requested to be close to the airport in a pet friendly place. We were also informed that there would only be a 10 dollar pet fee and that we were only 4.2 miles from the airport. By the time it was all said and done, we were 15'miles from the airport and it cost us an additional 50 dollars for our pet.

Room was primarily used for meetings so bed came off the wall. TV was old and remote control did not work. Bed sheets were dirty and had to be changed.

Not so hot
The room was less than stellar. The front desk person was not very customer oriented. The cable TV was less than basic. They did have wifi as requested. This was not a great stay for me.
