Downtown Austin

This is a great hotel for the price and definately a must stay if you plan on being downtown. The room was lovely, the bar fun, and the room service dinner was fabulous. We will stay here whenever we go to Austin in the future. Loved it!

Overall it's a Good Hotel

It's a pretty good hotel, in a good location. It's just a short walk from all the interesting places in the downtown. The parking is an extra cost.

Slightly disappointing

Omni Hotel in downtown Austin was slightly disappointing in service and location. Could be due to Thanksgiving weekend that the area was very dead and not much going on. The service was lacking - turndown service inconsistent and didn't refill some amenities after cleaning. The concierge is friendly though and helpful.

Last Minute Getaway

I selected this hotel for my wife and I to get away for our anniversary. The front desk gave us a bed and breakfast or breakfast voucher, because I mentioned that it was our anniversary. Our room was given away or just wasn't available so they upgraded us to a 2-2 with full kitchen suite. We checked in about 530 pm so that might have something to do with the upgrade. The suite was like a small apt, with 3 balconies, had a 17th floor view of Downtown Austin. Both RR had jacuzzi tubs, air and heat vent. (very nice!!) The suite was so big that at one point my wife was calling me and I couldn't hear her because I was on the other side, lol. The suite came with a mini bar. *if you're going to drink 6th Street is a block away, way cheaper! Living room and bedrooms have flat screens. Kitchen comes with full fridge and freezer w/ ice maker, cups, plates, basic cooking tools, no pots or pans though. There was extra towels, pillows, blankets. We expected to have a smaller room but the upgrade made the night much more special. The Room was clean, ac and heater worked well. they do charge for wifi (9.95/ 24hrs). I paid 125.00 for the room and got more, Check in late and Stay Here!

parking is free on the street 530pm-8am and free on weekends, plenty of parking on the street, we didn't use vallet. Drinks are cheap sunday-wednesday on sixth street, a block away from the hotel.

Great Hotel! Great Location!

The location of the hotel was perfect! No need to rent a car - you can just walk all over downtown from this place. The staff was very helpful and gave some great suggestions on places to eat and visit. I would definately stay here next time I visit Austin!!

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. I was just there for a vacation of hanging out listening to the tons of great live music. Location is pretty excellent [cab fares rack up quick, and the pedicabs run only on the weekend]. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The stainless pool on the roof was nice, but kind of wish they did "more" with it. Room was tidy, the bed was very comfortable.
