Omni Austin Texas

We had a great time at the hotel but I needed a hotel with a sauna. I ended up moving from this location to the Omni Southpark that has a sauna and the new dates were june 13 - june 20th.

Nice Hotel...

Very nice hotel connected to business offices. I would consider this more of a business traveler kind of place, rather than one for vacation. There was free wifi in the lobby, so thats always a plus. I wasn't there for a weekend, but there was some mention that only registered guests were allowed in the rooms after 10PM on weekends and that they checked ID's at the elevator. Seems a bit weird, but wasn't something that concerned me.

Great place to stay

Great room, comfortable beds, great location. Only things I didn't care for were having to pay for Wi-Fi and having housekeeping knock on the door at 8am (Checkout is at 12) just to deliver the bill which was slipped under the door anyways.

Great Location, friendly staff!

I came to Austin for a girls weekend with my best friend; it was also my 30th birthday. I had heard great things about the city and wanted to check it out. I did some hotel research online and found that this hotel had good overall ratings and appeared to be in a good location. I was a little leery at first as I had heard some horror stories from people about the Omni brand in general, but I liked the location and figured it was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the very friendly, accommodating staff, perfect location of the hotel and comfortable beds! I will say that the price is a little steep per night, but for the location, it was definitely worth it! All in all a great girls weekend getaway.

Try Parkside Restaurant on East 6th; it's just a short walk from the hotel and the food and service were phenomenal!! Ask the concierge for the cross street, but honestly, you will not be disappointed!
