Definitely recommend this hotel!

We were in town for a wedding, so didn't spend too much time at the hotel. The rooftop pool was wonderful, along with the bar in the hotel. All of the staff was extremely friendly.

Great location downtown Austin

The Omni is at a fantastic location for those who want to check out 6th street and the Congress St. bridge bat colony! Our room was small, but quaint and I was not impressed with the TV, but the balcony was well worth not having as nice of equipment. The view from the roof top swimming pool (which was okay) was also great. The service was polite as expected.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There was a Vietnamese/Thai place on 6th that had great food, and decent wine bars on 2nd Street near Congress as well.

Helpful staff and good location downtown

I've stayed at the Omni several times before. It is conveniently located walking distance to 6th street but far enough away to keep the noise down.

Blood on the sheets

We arrived at the Omni Austin, TX. to find blood splatters on the sheets of the bed. Although the management relocated us to a nicer room at check out the desk clerk accused us of stealing the reciept for our room service, which I had brought to them in an effort to be honest after it was left in the room by the person bringing the food. We could have said nothing and not had to pay for the room service, but we are not that type. I am not a complainer and really did not intend on presuing compensation until I was called a theif by the desk clerk.I am very disatisfied.
