Budget-friendly stay in the heart of downtown Austin
Travelers in search of a budget hotel in the heart of Austin's scene should check out La Quinta Inn Austin Capitol. Take a 5-7 minutes walking to some night clubs. It is quiet in the room but it's also easy if you wanna have some fun.

The price is very reasonable. Staff was very kind. Location was safe and calm. Room was a little old, but cleaned very well. Compare to famous hotel, such as Hiiton, four seasons, you may feel cheap. But when you want to save money, that hotel is not so bad for several days stay.

No complaints- Great Stay!
The hotel is located in the downtown, very close to the Capitol. Plus, its one of the cheapest option you can get (with the best value you can get) at a convenient location. I am extremely satisfied with the room cleanliness and comfort. Staff were very helpful. Particularly, a lady named Sylvia who sits at the front desk. I definitely recommend La Quinta!

Almost all restaurants in the downtown are closed on Sundays. Atleast that's what I found during the day. the only option available was a Subway. So, plan accordingly.

Great Location
This was a nice hotel in a great location. You get what you pay for but its worth it for a close place to crash at the end of a long day. The staff was nice and the valets were courteous and cool. If you don't mind walking, this is a great place to stay.

Good Room and Location
It is a La Quinta that needs some lovin' done to its exterior. Really, who cares about the exterior when you are staying at a La Quinta? Not me. This place is moderate walking distance from 6th street. I'd say 10 minutes or so. The room is standard clean although I did have a duvet which I have never understood in warm climates. If you are like me and are satisfied with a decent bed and a clean room, then look no further.

You can walk to 6th street, but not Southern Congress or even the bat bridge in the summer. It would be too hot.

Mixed blessings
Good location for university and Sixth Street. The latter occasionally brings in guests who party throughout the night. The night staff seems to be unable to control the scene and allow other guests to have a good-night's sleep.

La Quinta Inn Austin Capitol
Very helpful staff. An older hotel, but well kept. The room was clean and comfortable. Great location for vistors to UT at Austin. A couple of miles from some nice restaurants, and only about 15 to 29 minutes from the airport..easy drive.

fantastic for downtown Austin
If you are looking for a hotel near 6th street then this is the one for you. Great hotel for the price and location is awesome for going to the bars.

Budget Hotel for a Budget Price
The hotel was a typical budget hotel. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The tub and toliet left something to be desired. The shower backed up and the toliet seat was a cheap plastic seat that was not stable. The breakfast buffet was limited as is often the case with this chain.
