could be better

Convenient location, good room size, but very noisy. Interstate highway 35 just next to the building and tons of noise come through the closed window none stop, day and night. Additional to that, toilet tank refill itself every 15 min with very loud noise, so I had to shut down the water supply when I went to bed. I asked front desk to fix this problem 3 times, nothing changed. On the top of that, another occupant above the room I stayed in, were exercising or jumping all time till midnight. call concierge - no changes. Couldn't get rest, very disappointed

Very good

It was a nice hotel. Friendly & helpful staff, nice room, nice common area, easily accessible off the highway. WiFi worked perfectly.

Does what is needed

Service, food, cleanliness was fine. Shower curtain torn, bath fan switch inoperative, remote in living area had bad batteries. None were repaired after we told the receptionist of the problems. Still, we will stay there again as it's only 1/2 mile from our daughter's home

We Work Hard For the Money

My family went to the Austin area to watch some minor league baseball in Roundrock. The hotel was only 15 min. away as long as it was not in 5:00 traffic. then add another 30 min. The suite was made up of 2 rooms, one with beds and A/C, the other with sofa,desk, and kitchen, with no A/C. there was a very LOUD fan in the wall between the two rooms (that's what I didn't like the most) to help pull cool air from the room with the A/C. Didn't help much. the front room always stayed much hotter than the one with the a/c. The overall stay was ok. nice free breakfast and clean rooms.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

The drive time to Dell Diamond is only 15min. as long as you are not going there in rush hour traffic (4:30-7:00)

vacation area

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites was very comfortable, the room was just the way I imagined it would be like. I like the internet connection that it provided for my laptop along with the small kitchen area that made me feel more relaxed. The location was just right for the distances that I needed to travel without getting lost, it was close to a lot of restaurants & shopping centers. I would recommend this hotel but needs additional items for breakfast along with dinner menus.
