very limited space & poor layout
The description & pictures of this hotel are misleading. The rooms are actually quite small. When the sofa bed is pulled out, you almost cannot pass from the main bedroom "area" past the sofa bed to get to the bathroom. And to pull out the sofa bed, you have to lift & move a heavy table. The only place then to put that table (if you want to access the bathroom) is in front of the door! So your exit would be blocked in the event of a fire or other emergency. I can't believe this hotel passed fire or safety inspections! And there really is no significant separation between the main bedroom "area" & the sofa bed area. You can see directly from one into the other, affording no real privacy to either room. The closet is also extremely small & 1/2 of this very small closet isn't even accessible even when the door (which made a horrendous screeching sound when opened or closed) is fully open. In addition, the pool is VERY small & is placed such that the hotel blocks the sun. You exit to the pool through the eating area but the room keys don't allow you to re-enter through that same door...so you have to go all the way around the hotel to get back in! The breakfasts are quite good with many options & the kitchen & cleaning staff are very helpful & nice. But because of the many other problems, we would definitely not return here.

Great Room, Fair Price
We got a huge room with a separate area with couch & TV. We went there to visit with our daughter & granddaughter and the extra space was nice. Staff was friendly. The price was decent (for Austin). Overall we were very pleased.

Stayed just one night before the race and checked in about 7-8pm. Room was clean and got a good nights sleep before checking out before breakfast on Saturday. Close proximity to good restaurants. Thanx!

Nice Hotel
The hotel was good as far as cleanliness goes and the room but the short fall in the suites was that the living room was so small and cramped and the kitchenette was non-existant (very compact) we spent New Years Eve out because we had no room to have guests visit our suite and even had other couples book the same hotel on the same floor so we could go between rooms but chose to go out to a club to get more socializing space. The room would be okay for the normal stay with just 2 people.

Back again...
I was just at the same hotel a few weeks earlier and the experience was great. This time I came into to town for a concert with some colleagues from work. Stephanie checked us in and the service was great just as before. Very easy to get downtown from the hotel, just a straight shot on Mopac. The complimentary breakfast doesn't hurt either.

Great Experience
I recently stayed at this hotel with my parents on 10/28-10/29. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly. There were two young ladies at the front desk that were very polite and helpful. Very close to downtown with easy access to Mopac and 183. In summation, the location, hotel room, workout room and breakfast were all great.

Try the Oasis located off Comanche Trail. Great place for all occasions. Be sure to arrive well before sunset, otherwise you'll miss the great view and you may as well go somewhere else to eat. They also have live music on the top deck on certain nights.

Good overall
The stay was good overall. The staff was nice. There was just one staff member in particular that wasn't all that friendly. It seemed like she just wanted to get her job done and get it over with and forgot that I'm an actual person standing in front of her. Basically she's the one that checked me in when I first arrived and I did not feel welcomed. It was a nice 3 night stay. The complimentary breakfast was good as well. I would stay there again.
