Great location to stay while in Austin
This hotel is located partway between UT Austin campus and downtown. Easy access to both. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and responsive to any issues that came up. We had a heat problem that they fixed and compensated us for. The only bad thing was the restaurant had extremely bad service during breakfast, resulting in us only eating there once for our 4 day stay. Underground garage has very tight turns and limited spaces due to some remodeling in the hotel. We were always able to find a space though. I would stay here again.

-We went to a few places to eat, Down 6th street. -They had construction that woke us up at 8am everymorning. We went there to relax not to listen to construction. They provided earplugs, but who is going to wear ear plugs when we need to hear our alarm go off. -They had shuttle service which was a plus. -Good cookies -Good service

Spacious and close to UT and Capitol
great choice for me for the convenience of being able to walk to the locations that brought me to Austin. Suite was surprisingly big and had full kitchen, stove, and full size refrigerator. Staff was quietly helpful and competent and the welcome made sweeter with a warm chocolate chip cookie.

terrible experience, had to change hotel
We booked online and chose the hotel because of location and the suite. Checked in late and received a smoking room )even though we booked a non-smoking) that smelled like a bad rental car. The odor was so strong the entire floor smelled of smoke. The hotel was sold out so we could not change rooms. Then the room next door proceeded to party from 11-2 in the morning with loud music. There was a case of beer out on the balcony the next morning. We had to change hotels and did not receive a discount for the terrible night.

excellent location, excellent staff
I think the hotel is excellent; but I really did feel that the $12. charge for internet access for each 24 hour period was totally inappropriate. Even the $49 specials from motels provide the internet services at no charge. It just seems that the management feels this small charge would be paid for the use is certainly calculated. I, personally, did NOT use the service.

Great hotel
It was a really nice hotel. The only bad experience was that at 3 am the smoke alarm went off and everyone panicked and got out of the rooms following the instructions on some speakers. I had to jump from a first floor and landed on my behind, which was really painful. The fire department arrived and hotel staff explained to us that someone was cooking something?? and caused the smoke alarm to go off. Went back to bed around 4am. Not a good night.
