Days Inn Austin South

The bed was comfortable but don't expect furniture and atmosphere of a 2 star. I think that this hotel is getting new management and it will improve. Good location and a good value.

We experienced bugs in the bed and saved several of them so that the hotel manager could identify the type. I will contact him later in the week to determine what they were but they did bite. The paint in the bathroom and bathroom door was in filthy condition and rooms were not cleaned well. Toilet constantly ran with hot water. Cold water in shower was not working properly so shower was extremely warm.

An air conditioner that had no filter and was cloged with dust , so it bairley worked!

I selected the Days Inn because it was the least expensive hotel in Austin available in [...], probably due to the completion of SXSW. There were issues with1.) toilet running on2.) lights not plugged in - needed help from managerWhile the room left something to be desired the manager was very responsive to any issues. The free breakfast was a nice touch. Internet WiFi is free and pretty solid.

I've stayed here a few times in the last several years. It's sort of rundown and not as clean as I would like. But as a single woman, I've always felt safe staying here, which counts for a lot. Management is helpful if issues arise. In other words, it's not a 5-star hotel, but it doesn't claim to be. It's OK for a discount place, and it's in a convenient location.

The room was disgusting. The curtains would not close completely. The furniture was beat and old and ugly. The carpet was dirty and smelly. There was food left in the fridge from the previous guest. This room reminded me of a movie where you would take a $20.00 hooker. Ill never stay there that for sure. We stayed 20 minutes and left.

Got a good deal for the weekend of ACL Fest. We weren't planning on spending much time in the room, so it was sufficient. The bathroom had a hole in the ceiling about a quarter-size in diameter above the shower. We didn't watch any TV. The wireless internet was useful. Desk staff were helpful and pleasant. I'd consider staying there next year if the price was still right.

As far as having a place to sleep it was fine, however we arrived at 3 a.m. and there were NO parking spaces. We had to park in another hotel parking lot next door to the Days Inn hotel. Not very convenient.

They made us walk down to the front lobby to exchange out the towels. We had 3guests in each of the rooms so they only gave us 3towels in each room--- we are girls, we need extra towels!! They would not give us extra towels. It was awful and they were rude! The a/c ran 24hrs but the rooms never seem to be cold enough. Ice machine out the rooms were broken too.
