Just ok

I have stayed at many Days Inns and this one was just not as good. No indoor pool and the bathroom was very small. Also the sink was small and strangely positioned. Free breakfast with waflfes in the shape of Texas was cute. For the price it was fine and the location was off the highway and not far from Downtown Austin.

Nice Italian restaurant called Quatro something downtown 1/2 block from the Capitol building was good. Horse carriage rides available on the street. There are charges to park on the streets downtown w/ credit card only.

A great place to stay

The hotel room was clean, modern, with a great bed (white sheets / white comforter). I had a refrigrerator and microwave in the room, with a great tv. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Contintental breakfast was good and a real convenience. I had read mixed reviews before I booked, but after being there myself I can really recommend it. I will stay here on future trips to Austin. It's a great location (easy to get anywhere in Austin), and a great value.

Getsd the job done.

It was clean for the most part. Had a little of a musky smell. Easy access to everything in Austin. If you are looking for a place just to lay your head at night this place works.

Cheap and sad

This hotel is fine, there are no major issues except for the fact that it is cheap in all means. The rooms are dated and not very nice. The breakfast is an insult. I recommend this place if our goal is to save money and if you are ok with sad and old motels. next time I'll spend few bucks more and go somewhere else.

tacky in austin

if you want to stay at a place where there is NO frills this is the place for you! the free wi-fi is pretty much the only thing that pulled me to this hotel. i mean, i know its only 2 stars but i think they could shine them up a little and make them sparkle.

Review & description of hotel misleading

The review said 80% recommended hotel; I would not recommend hotel. It was smelly, dirty, and not 'newly remodeled'. I got over the smell and dirtiness and looked forward to the complimentary breakfast. I was sorely dissapointed. The only thing decent was the store bought pastry.

Meh

This hotel was ok. Had a big bed and working tv and shower. We just used the place to change and clean up. Location is good. You can get to about any part of Austin from here. But dont be fooled by the "freshly renovated" Basically added a flat screen tv and put a new faucet on the sink. We had a none smoking room but the whole floor smelt like smoke. But for $55 a night, I cant complain too much.
