not so good stay
tried to apply for PRIORITY SERVICE but computer wouldn't accept info, therefore, did not get morning paper without calling ... the desk each day. Could not get wifi and they moved us to another room that was smaller and we still couldn't get wifi as promised. seemed like the HOTEL CALIFORNIA -- nothing went right. The physical plant needs updating badly.However, staff was excellent and tried to accomodate us but physical plant woudn't allow it.

Crowne Plaza Austin
Nice hotel. Restaurants within walking distance. Shuttle to and from airport and to and from downtown. Be sure to tip well ... the courteous shuttle drivers.

Great room for the price
Stayed at Crowne because we are looking to relocate to Austin. Easy drive to St. David's medical center. Room was very pretty ... and quiet, especially for the price.

Short trip
After booking a room two day out, at check in time I was told that they did not have a room for me. that was at 3:00pm. So ... after sitting in the lobby for 2 hrs at bout 5:15pm my room was raedy.

Great north Austin stay!
The room was very nice, clean, beds were soft, nice sheets and down pillows. Our only complaint was that the room was a ... little small and the bathroom was tiiiiny! Other than that, location was good, hardly interacted with staff although they were friendly, view of pool was nice. For the price this room was a steal!

Great Deal!
We had a quick overnight stay here and it was great. clean rooms, attentive staff and wonderful value for the money. The ... bar makes good drinks that aren't to pricey. The only con was that the housekeeping staff kept knocking on our door before we were awake, but if you put the do not disturb sign up you shouldn't have any problems. Overall this is one of the nicer hotels we have stayed at on our cross country road trip!

Actually pretty great
Really very nice. I've paid the same for much lesser rooms in the area without Orbitz. The little bed pillows were ... suprisingly comfortable. A faulty hair dryer was promptly replaced. The TINY coffee maker wsa a bit of a drag. My first floor "smoking" room required an elevator trip to the 2nd floor for ice, but no big deal. Overall, a great place.

Me and 2 friends were in Austin for a couple of small concerts. Everything was clean and quiet. The people at the front desk ... were really helpful when we needed a cab called or even suggestions for a place to get good pizza.

Good Hotel
It is far north of downtown, so if you want to go downtown, you might not like the location, but it's in a good area for all ... the good places in north Austin. The rooms are clean and quiet and the staff is nice.

4 stars on a scale of 10
I went there to visit friends after being away from Austing for a few years. I looked on Orbitz for a 4 star and this one ... came up. When I got there I was truly disappointed. The only thing I can say that was close to 4 star was the countertop in the bathroom. I travel a lot on business and this is definitely a 3 star. I wouldn't even put it in the class with Hilton Garden Inn. Just wasn't what I expected AT ALL. Very old hotel that they added some paint and called it remodeled. Keep looking if you truly want 4 stars!

Great Hotel
This is a very nice hotel. I enjoyed everything about my stay there. The only problem incurred was that the front desk kept ... getting my last name wrong which made it a problem for the couple in the 2nd room I'd booked. Everything was in my (wrong) last name.

Would not stay here again
The hotel was average, not what I expected. There was alot of people waiting for rooms and I could not check in until close ... to 3:30pm. When I finally arrived at my room instead of a King bed that I prepaid for in advance, I had a double bed. When I went to the front desk to complain I was told that was all they had available even though I clearly requested and paid in advance for a King bed. When I asked to speak to a manager a King bed suddenly became available and the manager never came out to speak with me. The restroom did not have any washclothes and I had to request them each day I was there which was three days. The room was clean but very small.

If you are going to 6th street DO NOT DRIVE THERE!!! The regularly 10 minute drive there will take you about 30-45 minutes because of traffic. Take a cab or a shuttle.
