Surprisingly impressed
I Was expecting a budget hole, but got a clean, well lit, quiet hotel with pleasant staff, and ample security. We travel for dog shows and this hotel had no problem with our two Australian shepherds staying with us. They had security constantly patrolling the grounds on foot. The rooms were nicely laid out with nice bathrooms. We didn't use the free continental breakfast because there a sweet little taco stand across the street with 3 breakfast tacos for $2.75 (yummy). It was also nice having checkout at noon instead of 9 or 10 am. We were surprised and impressed especially considering the price.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Check out the taco stand across the street for tasty cheap authentic tacos. Don't get waylaid by the "roach coach" misnomer. This place was totally clean, had nice food service equipment, and will beat the pants off any other nearby fast food.

Great hotel for budget travelers
I recently went to Austin to look for a place to live while I attend UT in the fall. I stayed at Baymont because of the good reviews on the website. For the price, you really can't do much better (in the Austin area). The staff was courteous and helpful, free breakfast was provided (hard boiled eggs, cereal, pastries, etc.), room was clean when I arrived, shower was nice and hot. The location was tricky for me to get to at first, but it's along the 35, and there are great restaurants and bars on either side. My only complaint was some noise early one morning of my stay (loud music) and the free gym pass to Gold's Gym in place of a fitness center mentioned in the Guest Services book is no longer honored. The front desk clerk said it was a typo. Have it removed? All in all, great value and service from a sweet little hotel.

Great Night
My son and I needed a place for one night, close to the airport, that would allow us a good night's sleep. Baymont was less than 20 minutes from the airport, which was fine. The staff was very friendly and happy and willing to make us feel the same. They even printed out my plane ticket for the next morning's flight. The room was very clean and smelled fresh, very spacious, quiet, and the beds were good. The location was right off the highway and adjacent to a wonderful Denny's restaurant. Easily all a great bargain for the price.

Denny's is right next door - a very nice one. We ate supper there and the receipt had an online link to a survey, which if filled out would gain a free grand slam breakfast.

Nice place for the money
My room was nice and clean, I didn't have any problems with it and didn't see any bugs. The faucet in the bathtub dripped a little, but I just shut the door and couldn't hear it. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping areas nearby and a gas station right next to the hotel. A cab to downtown and 6th St. costs about $20.

Great for the Price
It's not 5 star by any means but great bargain if you're just looking for a decent place to crash in Austin. Room was relatively clean yet dated. Continental breakfast was actually pretty good considering what the price of the room. Overall, I was pleased.

I will definitive book a room again!
I booked a 2 double bed room with my friend and both of us love it!! the room was clean, the area was quiet. I did not have any problems while my friend and I were there. There is a Denny's next to the parking lot. I found the perfect place to stay over anytime that I want to go to Austin!
