good stay

they only complaint is we did not have hot water on saturday morning but told the staff and they had it fixed for us by sunday morning. The onley other suggestion would be to pick the people up from the stadium instead of making us walk to meet them. second time i stayed at this hotel to attend the southwest classic and i willo be back again next year. Good hotel.

Little Known Treasure

We spent four nights at the Knight's Inn, and found it to be quite suitable for our needs for the most part. The family that runs the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We especially liked the free shuttle service to Six Flags and Ranger stadium nearby. I personally was not able to benefit much from their continental breakfast due to diet restrictions, but McDonald's is within walking distance along with other restaurants and convenience stores. The biggest drawback is the hotel's location on a frontage road by the highway. It makes getting to it a little tricky, but once you master that it's no problem. This hotel is definitely a keeper!

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

There is a Walmart just past the baseball stadium and across from the football stadium in case you need anything.

Great location for Cowboys, Rangers, Six Flags

Really nice, clean room. A little slow on check-in, but other than that great. And not only do they have a free shuttle to and from the airport, but they will shuttle you other places too like Cowboys stadium, the Ballpark and Six Flags. Not only that, but it is within walking distance of Six Flags for sure. Definitely worth the price - in fact, I would say underpriced!

Mariano's - mexican restaurant. Very good. It's where the frozen margarita was invented.

Bad hotel ,would not recommend

When I arrived at the hotel at 5;45 P.M our room was not ready, the lobby bathroom was not cleaned. The motel presents an unpleaseant look. The towels in the rooms was very hard. I can't even think about comparing this trip with my last, with this one being the worst. The only good thing about the hotel is location.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

the good the bad and the disappointing

Fantastic location if you plan to go to 6Flags, Cowboy Stadium etc. reasonable price. They have a tiny pool and helpful if erratic shuttle service. My issue was that upon our arrival and check in, i asked if we could keep the room a second night. the desk clerk, who appeared to be training his 12 year old son, looked into the computer and said that it was fine, no problem. It became one at 10 am the next morning, AFTER my family had left to go to 6 flags, when the front desk called me to say i had to be out in an hour --regular checkout time, at 11 am. i explained that i had already arranged a second night, to which they were like "sorry, i dunno about what they said but you can't stay." i explained my circumstances further and said that had they told me no the night before, i would have had time and made alternate arrangements for my family. so instead of a relaxing day in the room, i had to gather everyone's belongings, rush out, and spend the day driving around in my car with nowhere to go until i found another hotel in the area, which of course could not permit check in until 3pm. while it was a perfectly average, pleasant & relatively clean motel, this screw up completely threw off the entire trip, and nearly ruined some purchases that weren't designed to spend an afternoon in a car in the texas heat. i wouldn't go back unless i had no better options and i would definitely get anything they say in writing. perhaps if the desk clerk wasn't training a middle school child to make reservations this wouldn't have happened. what was more upsetting was how laissez faire they were about the problem they created. on top of that, after saying i had to HAD to be out by 11, i got a call at 11 am as i was walking out to say i was allowed to stay til 1130. since the maid was impatiently waiting at the door and giving me dirty looks, i decided to forgo the extra 30 minutes and leave anyway. alternatively if you do stay here, there is a lovely mexican restaurant next door called Marciano's that was AMAZING. wonderful 40 yr old establishment with fantastic decor and phenomenal food. that almost made up for the hotel glitch. (and to be fair, had the hotel not totally scr*wed me, up to that point, we had all been pleasantly surprised. if you decide to book, just be sure to confirm with the hotel personally and to get a name) Also a gps is helpful to navigate the 6 Flags area, there are weird turns and one way streets all over the place. you have to kind of loop around things and come back.

Marciano's--again, cannot say enough good about it! The waiter was a delight, it was a festive but low key atmosphere--casual dress ok but formal clothes would fit in fine. Wonderful guacamole, delicious margarita, overly generous portions and the best salsas either of us have ever enjoyed. Almost worth the hotel ordeal just for the food....

Knights Inn--Arlington, TX

The hotel was in a wonderful location. Twenty minutes from both Fort Worth and Dallas, and only a two minute drive to the interstate entrance. The only down side was that the staff was unhelpful and there were plumbing issues with our particular room.

plain and cheap with free shutttle

They all look alike when you are asleep. The place was clean, comfortable, plain and cheap. We came to see the Rangers play baseball, not hang out in the motel room. They provide a shuttle to the ballpark and other attractions in the entertainment district which saves me the price of parking and having to fight the traffic after the game. Could have used an in-room coffee maker. Tightwads unite!
