not bad for the price
The hotel was within walking distance of Six Flags, this was a plus. The day staff were friendly and allowed us to check in early. He gave us trolley passes so we could ride the trolley back to the hotel. The room could have been cleaner, it was a little out dated but I did request a smoking room so I am sure, as with most hotels I have stayed in, the newer rooms are reserved for non-smokers. For the price it was all that was expected. The room was adequate, if you are looking for a place to sleep after a ranger game or Six Flags it is for the money the right choice. If you are going to be there for more than a day or maybe two this is not the place for you. But for a place to sleep that was convenient and with in walking distance to Six Flags it was great for the price.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Walk to Six Flags, don't pay to park there and fight the traffic in and out. You can walk through the La Quinta parking lot. The hotel will give you trolley passes to go to and from, but it is faster to walk. We were beat after a day of Six Flags so we rode the trolley back.

Nof bad at all
The hotel was pretty good.. Only one person at the front desk so a little inconvenient if you wanted something and the breakfast ended a little early, I think but other than that everything was good.

Better than Most
We were impressed how close the motel was to Six Flags over Texas, which was our main reason for our stay. Since we arrived on the Amtrak on a Sunday afternoon and there was no car rental open, we had to take a cab to the hotel, but once we were there we were very thankful for the free trolley service there. The rooms were cleaner than what I read on some reviews, but the pool could of have been better maintained. The hotel breakfast was fair but could use some egg and/or meat on the menu at least bisciuts and gravy. The clerks were very helpful and friendly. Overall our stay was pleasant

Very Unhappy!
Very disappointed with my hotel stay. When we arrived my friend who also traveled with me and her teenage children were seperated on different floors. The man that we spoke with when arrived before check in said that it would be fine to be on the same floor, when we arrived later there was a note hanging explaining it but the man at the desk was unwilling to help us and we split the roomsup so that the adults were on different floors with the different teenagers. There were no towels in my room when I arrived and when I asked the housekeeper she told me that we would have to speak to the front desk and the front desk then instructed us back to the housekeeper. The air conditioner did not work well at all, room stayed very warm. The bath tub and bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned. There was no soap or personal belonging bags in the room and there was blood my friends sheets. I would have rather paid the extra money and stayed in the hotel next door than to stay in this unfriendly, not clean or accomidating hotel.

Worst motel every
I took my kids for spring break. We had a total of four teenagers. Made two attempts to assure rooms were together, one by phone and one by showing up early in the morning. When I got there after being at Six Flags all day they put my kids on the third floor and me on the fourth floor. Then on top of that the air conditioning did not work in the rooms and did not have soap or towels. I ask for my money back for the next night so that I could find somewhere else to stay. They said it would not be possible. So when I talked with the manager the next morning, it was a miracle that the room across the hall was available. But when we got to that room later that night I pulled back the comforter and there was BLOOD ON THE SHEETS! I wouldn't stay here again even if it were for free. PRICE IS GOOD BUT THERE IS A REASON THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!!!!! Bathrooms not clean and nevery had any towels or soap unless I went to front desk to get them!!!!

"Unbeatable location for the price"
The location was very close to the main highway. Great restaurants around. The rooms and lobby were very clean. The staff's service was great.

Good location great price but rent a car
Stayed for the weekend to see the game and had a great time. Some minor issues; based on print/web description thought that the free trolley service would suite our needs to see the nearby sights. Found out that it only operated seasonally and had to pay for cab back to airport to rent a car (airport shuttle was from airport to hotel not the reverse on our day of arrival). Stadium shuttle was in operation on sunday and a definite plus for anyone going to the game. The business center is a misnomer as there isn't one. The clerk would allow printing from the behind the counter on the hotel computer, but this arragement certainly doesn't support a traveling business use setting. Left my labtop at home and ending up communicating the old fashion way via phone. Compared to other hotel stays the room was a little dated but the staff was friendly and the breakfast was a plus.

Short drive from hotel
Humperdinks is a short walk from the hotel, but you would really need a car to get around and cross some major highways. We stayed in December and would be quite chilled to walk the distance. The drive is worth it as you have plently of local fare resturant selections nearby.
