Purrrrrfect night sleep
After driving over 600 miles, stopping at the Big Texan for dinner, it was absolutely wonderful to be greeted by [...] at the front desk. She was very sincere about our needs, and made sure we got what we needed. It was a quiet restful night sleep before heading onto Flagstaff, AZ.

The Big Texan. The hotel offers free shuttle to it. The steaks are awesome and cooked to perfection.

Nice place to stay!
Shopped at the Horse and Rider Saddle and Tack shop. Purchased a pair of chinks for my daughter and me. Great place, friendly people and great prices to boot!

Visit the American Quarter Horse Museum. We really enjoyed seeing pictures and statues horses and breeders.

LaQuinta Work in progress
The LaQuinta Amarillo was in the process of fixing up the outside. The inside still needs alot of update. When we walked in there was a crayon and some piece of what looked like food on one of the beds. So we had to assume the bed had not been touched. When we told the front desk we wanted some clean sheets for the bed they brought us some but didn't offer for anyone to put them on. The bath tub looked like it needed a good cleaning, Other than those thingsthe continental breakfast was good and the staff seemed friendly. We were on a round trip and I chose not to stay at that hotel on the way back.

Good Price
Check in clerk was helpfull and gave us extra coffee packets for our room. Lite breakfast was nice. Beds were comfortable, room small.

A Break in the Journey
