La Kiva Hotel and Convention Center

Our room was nice and clean... though I think we had a newer remodeled room. Wouldn't say the hotel staff is the brightest since they never could find my Or***z reservation (until a day after we left and just paid up front for room)... Average. Not what I'd consider disgusting or awesome.

This hotel was misrepresented as a 3 star and was overpriced. Mattress so broken down hitting the bed slats on box springs. Door jam broken in as if someone had kicked it. Rooms dirty, changed twice trying to get an acceptable room. If we hadn't arrived so late - 1a.m. would have never spent the night here.

[...] needs to review their rating for this hotel. They said it was a 3 star rating and it was a -1 if that. The place was a flop joint.[...] charged me $$69 and change when the going rate at the hotel was $54.00. And they advertise rates starting at $39.I asked for a non smoking room and the room had cigarette burns on the night stands, the chair, the carpet and smelled. The sheets on the bed were hanging out on the sides, and the curtains were hanging from the rods like 18" worth. I got in at 1:00 am and was too tired to do anything but get some rest. The next day I spent over 45minutes on the phone with cheap tickets trying to have them make amends. The hotel said they credited me $10.00. It is probably a good idea to have a AAA hotel rating book to cross reference ratings.

The bathroom light took them hour to fix, the room was dirt not vacuum the bathroom was disgusting an there was paint splatter everywhere from a previous repair mis match tile repair that doesn't lay flat a caulking job that was 2 inches thick around the tub in some place wall paper coming off in all corners of the entire room, pillows that are so flat that are useless. We were afraid to take a shower in the bathroom it was so gross.

Nice hotel, had a suite w/ king bed and double bed separated by a hallway. TV did not work like the other one. Pet fee was almost 20 dollars no mention of that on internet nor a place to inform of pet. Otherwise, it was a great experience. Quiet and decent breakfast. Loved the hot tub and the decor was gorgeous. Beds were comfortable. Wonderful night of sleep. Kids loved game room and pool.

This was probably THE hotel to be at when it was built. You can tell it was a very extravagant Hotel. Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms could be updated and the T.V. is entirely too small!! The staff was very courteous and helpful. There were little things that weren't ready. Our remote didn't have batteries and our smoking room didn't have ashtrays, but I contacted the front desk and all was remedied immediately with apologies. The BREAKFAST is OUTSTANDING. A HOT MADE TO ORDER BREAKFAST...WOW!! This alone saved my family $30-$40 dollars, by not having to go to IHOP. The price is great, we are trying to figure out how just my husband and I can go and stay and enjoy the pool and spa and not be rushed to be at some event.

The rooms were outdated. The tv was extremely small. The pool and hot tub were both broken. The check in woman was very rude because i ordered my ticket online..

The hotel looked like it was a top of the line, high class place. Only problem was it looked like it was all of those things in the 70's and they havent changed anything. It looked nothing like the pictures on your site, the stairs outside our room were broken and had caution tape cross them, and you kinda got the feeling that the elevator cable was going to snap at any second. They did offer a free breakfast with each room which was nice, if you dont mind the sweaty guy in the wholey tank top pickin his nose as he scrambles your eggs. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is probably the worst hotel I have stayed in in a very long time. The pictures on the internet showing this hotel had to have been at least 10 years old. It was dirty, very old, and the staff could have cared less. We had cancelled Friday night and re-booked for Thursday and they were going to charge us for both nights until we came up with the cancellation number. Not willing to help at all.

The AC didn't work in the first room but the staff moved us.
