Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Strongly reccomend Palo Duro Canyon, which is nearby. You can drive down into it, plus here are several iking paths of various distances and difficulty.

Great hotel
I was in town for a week-long workshop and this location was perfect for access to the Service Center. I appreciated the friendly, helpful staff and excellent breakfast area. It was well-maintained and delicious with a variety of choices. Room was large and comfortable. Bed was little firm for my taste, but I realize others may like this in a bed.

Wind blown in Amarillo
Hair in the bathtub, hair in the sink, toilet paper still in the toilet . . . need I say more? I suppose I could leave it at that but there was the window was effectively a non-window. I could feel the wind blow through and the room temp was roughly 63 degrees. When I went to the front desk to ask for a recommendation on where to eat, I got virtually no response.

One Night
The bed was like sleeping on concrete. You heard every move made outside of the room and above you. I will never stay there again.

great place to stay!
Staff was veryy freindly! We had a room next to elevator and room was still very quite. Bed was comfy and plenty of pillows! Lots of local eating places within walking distance. We had a suite wich was very nice and i recomend!

Roadtripper
Beautiful Lobby - and Gorgeous Rooms
We were on a roadtrip from San Diego to Indianapolis, and we spent at night at this beautiful Hotel. I was able to get a great deal on the King Bed Suite from [...] and had a great nights rest. The hotel was just built in 2008 - so the place was updated and spotless. The Lobby had a 'waterfall' feature that was welcoming, and the rooms were large. The bathroom was very spacious. I beds were a little stiff (I prefer soft beds) but I slept very well.I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I roadtrip as often as possible - so I typically get to a hotel late at night. And the biggest problem is typically finding a place open late to get food. The local Papa Johns is open late.
