Not for sleeping

The room was clean and physically comfortable. However every room has a sliding glass door facing the atrium, and the video games in the atrium play their music ALL NIGHT LONG. The only way I was able to get some sleep was by plugging in my Ipod earphones, and listening to some ocean white noise I happened to have. Not conducive to a good night's sleep.

Good choice for Amarillo visitors

We stayed over here during a visit to the Palo Duro Canyon. Since this hotel is roughly at the center of Amarillo, all locations are easily accessible. In addition, the amenities are great and the stay was quite comfortable. Definitely a good choice for people visiting Amarillo.

nice & safe for the single traveler

I enjoyed the pool & hot tub area, & the staff was very accommidating. An in-room refrigerator would have been nice since there is a drought in Texas & only certain ice machines were in service. I am continually satisfied with these hotels for 40+ years.

overnight pit stop on vacation to CO

Hotel was in dis-repair. My parents' room door would not lock- had to use the chain lock. Sparse and dated furniture in rooms. Mirror back was flaking in bathroom. Fine for a one night stop on the way thru town but not worth $99/night and wouldn't want to stay there more than 1 night. Stayed at another Holiday Day Inn in Pueblo CO that was great- didn't even compare! Oh, and the breakfast was cold and yucky. On the other hand, staff were very courteous and location was great, right off the interstate.

not value for money

Check in was prompt and efficient. Our room was on the first floor , as we tried to open the door we noticed that the lock was hard to open not safe at all in case of fire or emergency. There were glass doors leading to the atrium/hall which should be better fitted with key locks and not hasp locks. The bathroom counter space was minimal. The cleanliness was excellent. At night was noisy. The games machines in the atrium some of them worked some didnt and those that didnt , did not have a sign indicating so. The building needs much renovations. Value for money is not worth. We wont be returning there.
