ok

It was dirty in the lobby. Food spilled from the night before and not cleaned up the next day. Their were no parking all full because of a wedding going on. Elevator flood was dirty and the wall in the elevator was dirty. Breakfast was not good ordered and did not get one egg until we were finished. Staff was not helpful. Overall bad.

Disappointed

When we booked we asked for a non-smoking room, but ended up with a smoking room. The hotel was full, so they could not move us.

Nice but overpriced

The hotel was very nice like most hilton hotels are. The problems with the hotel included a small pool area and no complimentary breakfast. Other than that the stay was very enjoyable and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Big room in Amarillo Texas

The hotel was great, it was clean, the service was fantastic. The room we got was huge. You could have easily put 2 or 3 King beds, or had a dance floor in this room. This seems funny, because the bathroom was so small. You had to close the door to open the shower door. You could not be using the toilet and open the door. Two people in the bathroom seemed cramped. There was so much room between the room's door and the bathroom, that it could have easily been doubled in size.

You must try the Big Texan. It seems a bit hokey, but it is a treat for the eyes. Try the 72oz steak if you dare (it's free if you can finish it in an hour).

Perfect stay

The Hilton Garden Inn was the perfect stopping place for our trip from Louisiana to Colorado. We used to stay at the Homewood Suites, but it was beginning to look a little worn, so tried Hilton Garden Inn and loved it!!! Employees very nice and helpful. Rooms are new and clean, quiet and very comfortable beds. Also good value.

We ate at Real's Mexican Restaurant off of the Georgia St. exit (from the east) - stay on service road and keep going short distance until you see it on the right. It has been in Amarillo since 1957 and the food and margaritas were delicious - especially the buttermilk fried chili relleno with brisket!!! Macaroni Joe's is in the same retail area and looked nice, as well.....

Garden Inn of Amarillo

The Hotel was great, except when I checked in I notifed the staff that I had already paid through Orbitz and he notified me the Credit Card was necessary due to any damages that may occour. Well what really happened is that he charged me again for the room. I notifed them two days later about the mix up and it is now seven days since and I have not received my money back YET! Pretty frustrating that you stay in a nice/beautiful Hotel and the Staff screwed up the whole experience. I bought the Romance package with my room, which included a bottle of Sparkling wine and breakfast in bed. No bottle of sparkiling wine in my room. Had to wait 2 hours for the staff to bring it to my room. No Breakfast in bed! They do not deliver breakfast to the room as advertised. Had to go downstairs and pick it up.
