Days Inn Amarillo - Medical Center

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and enjoyed it so we booked it again this year for a total of 6 days. We had the same room we had before. It had been updated and renovated and was quite comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is quite adequate. Our only complaints-- the washers and dryers need to be replaced (we had to take our damp wash to a laundromat to finish drying it). The computer and printer were not working so we could not print our airline boarding passes.

They have a very friendly staff working in the service desk, not only them but house keeping too.

Very friendly staff, clean room, and A warm continental breakfast. What more can a person ask for?

Room was clean and comfortable, free hot breakfast, good value.

Visit to Amarillo to Visit family was great except for our hotel.Clean but wore out,rips in bedding,loose everything in bath room.Had to have key reprogrammed every evening when we came back to sleep.Pool was freezing although clean.At checkout the place was locked tight,no one answered doorbell or phone so we just left and called from airport.Will not stay here next time we are in town!

I been to Amarillo 4 times, the previous 3 I had stayed at the Fifth Season, If I knew this place was here for this price I would have stayed here instead. The rooms were cleaner and not run down like the 5th season. I did not have to carry my bags far and also the HOT BREAKFAST was nice, all you can eat: Cereal, Bread (Wheat & white), Biscuits, Gravy, Sausage Patties, Scrambled Eggs, Coffee & Juices. Compared to the poor breakfast at the 5th Seasons. Also it was peaceful, the 5th seasons gets noisy in the atrium some nights. Will surely stay here again whenever I happen to be in Amariilo, TX.

The security latch on the door was broken, thankfully still functioned. The bed was made, but there were NO pillows on it -- 3 were on the table, and one was in the chair, and NONE of them had pillow cases. There was cereal left in the chair, and the whole floor in general looked like it was in need of a good cleaning. WiFi did not work either. The girl at checkout cut me off before I could explain my complaints, and said "well, what can I say?" I stayed at a different Days Inn in the past month, and had issues with a dead bug and cleanliness, but this one takes the cake for being the worst hotel I've ever stayed at!

Quick overnight visit. Was able to do some late night computer work. Worker friendly business desk set up. Spacious room.

A very nice place to stay. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was with such a low cost.

This motel is OK if you're looking for a flying visit of just one night. The beds were like sleeping on the floor but for one of us with a bad back, it wasn't such a bad thing. The other issue was that we skipped breakfast here. The reason was that when we went to have breakfast, we found the person in attendance, coughing all over the food. There was insufficient eggs for the four of us, in fact, just enough for one person. When asking a question, the attendant couldn't be bothered to take his Ipod ear phones out to talk to us. We left immediately and had MacDonald's. I think next time, I'd look for something else.
