BEST WESTERN Medical Center Inn

They are in the process of remodeling which didn't bother me. I had called ahead of time to request a downstairs room as I am disabled. They said no problem but when we got there, they said there was no downstairs rooms with king sized bed as we had booked so ended up with 2 doubles. We got a room that had already been remodeled but the bathroom door did not close, the toilet seat was missing a bolt so twisted when you sat on it, outlet covers were missing. These are a few of the things wrong with the room. [...]

This is an obviously older Best Western. From the looks and activity, they are undergoing some major remodeling, and even apologize for this on their marquee sign in front with the promise of 'remodeling rates'. The front check in clerk was cordial and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable but lacked the finishing touches one would expect for the price, which wasn't high but we could have done better elsewhere here [...].

We enjoyed staying in the Best Western as we were passing through town. Our room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable!! The bathroom was newly renovated! It is located in a safe part of town. We would stay here again!

Friendly staff, and upgraded to a suite on arrival as it was part of our route 66 honeymoon from the UK. Half of the hotel was being refurbished, but there was minimal noise inspite of ongoing works. It is unlikely we will be travelling through Amarillo again, but if we needed to stay in town again we would definitely consider this hotel. Its cheap and 'does what it says on the tin', so dont expect miracles, but would happily recommend to friend and family.

Not a bad place to stay. Come down for an interview at a local school. Awesome location. rooms were avg.....bed was ok (not the best). Didnt have much contact with the staff but they seemed ok. The Bad: no shuttle service! The iron in the room was horrible cheap thing....if u must have one.....bring your own!

The Fitness center is off site. It's nice but a couple miles away. Staff were nice, polite. Glad I was already awake when the trash bin at the adjacent building outside was emptied, that was loud. Overall, good at the bargain price, perhaps overpriced at the regular rate.

Good standard Best Western Motel with a good restaurant next door.

Nice hotel, clean with friendly staff. Loved the Texas-shaped waffles included in breakfast!

Initially thought "oops, wrong hotel" when we drove up and walked into the room. It turned out all right, though. It was average, nothing spectacular and I did like that we had parking on the inside parking lot (not inside parking, but not parking that is not along the road/vehicle would not be an easy target for vandalism/robbery). Staff didn't knock themselves out to get us towells for the pool area; checked out the next morning and the computer was down so the guy couldn't check us out unit IT had fixed it-whenever that would be (thankfully, having used Orbitz, all we needed to do was give him the key and go). O.K. for a quick, overnight stay; don't expect classic, new/wow factor. Wouldn't use it as a "base" hotel.
