Located in the heart of West Texas off Interstate 20, the La Quinta Inn Abilene provides comfortable convenience and amenities designed to please even the most discerning traveler. Each guest room features fresh decor with several useful amenities such as free high-speed Internet access, a coffee maker, iron/ironing board, free local telephone calls, and on-demand movies. We provide 24-hour front desk service and a sparkling outdoor swimming pool. Our courteous staff prepares a scrumptious Free Bright Side BreakfastTM every morning. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel and plenty of shopping, as well as a theater nearby. Stay at the La Quinta Inn Abilene when visiting the Abilene Civic Center, and Abilene Christian, Hardin Simmons, and McMurry Universities. We are close to the Abilene Zoo, the Frontier Texas and Grace Museums, Taylor County Expo, and Oscar Rose Park for picnics, playgrounds, a tennis center, children's theater, amphitheater, and senior citizen center. No complaints

The staff was really helpful since we arrived early and needed to go ahead and do an early check-in (they allowed us to do so since we had reservations and pre-paid). The room was clean and smelled good. Nice HD tv. We liked the layout of the room. The location is good, although not close to many varieties of restaurants. Denny's is next door. Close to hospital and HSU. Overall was satisfied and will probably stay there again.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

If you are looking for a quick meal, Denny's is right next door and you can walk to it as we did. Otherwise, you'll need to drive into town or down I-20 to locate other eating establishments of your liking.

Needs that special something

i did not feel safe here. Also, the breakfast food could use from freshening up. The front desk people were nice though.

Great Stay!

We came to town for a tennis tournament. The hotel was very clean, my children really enjoyed the pool. We will definately come back.

Great place to visit

We had a wonderful swim after we arrived and settled in for a peaceful sleep. Had a nice breakfast and prepared to leave to visit the Frontier Texas museum. The museum was fantastic. I would recommend it to everyone. I had a coupon for discount tickets online. Great bargain!

Good for the money

In town visiting family. Really liked the a/c in this room, it kept the room very cool without the room being humid. The bed was comfortable, for the price. Room was Very clean, towels were not the best. Overall it was the best of the 4 hotels we have stayed in here in Abilene.

Good, basic hotel

The hotel was nice- clean, easy to find, and staff was verey . It was nothing fancy, but makes for a good place to stay for a night on a long drive.

Not so great

The hotel was in a horrible location and the room was rather stuffy with towels that smelled like..., well, any smell on a towel that is supposed to be clean is probably not that great.

Great price

I was pleased by how clean our rooms were, we needed to be moved to a room on the ground floor & the staff was very accomadating.

Don't Waste Your Time

This is an old location. The pool was out of commission for refurbishment, the breakfast selection was pathetic. The hair dryer wasn't working. We pushed all the reset buttons on the hair dryer, no go. It turns out we needed to push a reset button on another outlet on the other side of the counter. Is there something a little off on their wiring? Also, not enough light in the room. Older folks need more light I don't care what the environmentalists say, we need more light.
