Fairfield Inn by Marriott Abilene

The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is a $20 cab fare from the airport, so it was an additional $40 expense to stay there. The hotel description should clearly state that there is not an airport shuttle. The Courtyard is the same price as the Fairfield Inn and it offers a ton more in amenities, restaurants, real glasses, etc. At the same price and location, the Courtyard is a much better value.

Chose this hotel because of indoor heated pool so kids could decompress after trip from Ruidoso, NM. Pool was good, hot tub was very dirty. Had 5 people travelling and was disappointed that there was not enough floor space in room to put a queen size air mattress so had to cram 2 kids/1 adult into a queen bed. Fairly clean, great to have microwave and huge dorm fridge in room. Great proximity to various restaurants and RIGHT off freeway so convenient to find and depart. Adequate continental breakfast. Overall, would stay there again. Front desk help very friendly, gave pool towels with a smile.

My family and I found this hotel to be well worth it. It's location was a little hidden behind some other hotels, but not too difficult to find. We were passing through on our way to another city and arrived late. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the warm pool! Breakfast had a nice selection. We'd definitely stay again.

[...] The hotel said they had HBO and Showtime, but if you try and watching them they have poor reception. My daughter got sick and threw up in the room. I cleaned what I could and they charged me an arm and a leg for them to clean up the rest. Then they charged authorization fees and when I tried to contact the manager it was difficult. When I finally did get a hold of her she was very rude. I WILL not stay at another fairfeild inn again.

The Fairfield was fine, but not really worth the price in comparison to other hotels with similiar prices.

The one thing I will take from my stay at Fairfield Inn by Marriott Abilene, ABILENE, TX was how comfortable the bed was. The mattress was firm but had a wonderful pillow top. There were lots of fluffy pillows too. The bathroom was fairly clean, but there were areas (corners, under soap dish) that had the appearance of mold. The towels were just this side of sand paper and they only put two large towels in the bathroom.There was only one trash can in the entire room and that was located in the bathroom. Both the trash can and the ice bucket did not have a liner. It was obviously cricket season and they were all over the place, some dead some alive. I do understand that there is very little you can do about cricket season in Texas. The staff is very friendly, although they would not honor a discount that i found after booking the room that was related to the local college. We were there moving our daughter in over the weekend.

My tub was leaking (flooding) into the room below. It was never repaired! One morning I got out of the shower and discovered they left no new towels! Very friendly. Convienent location. Good breakfasts! Great A/C!

My stay was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean with plenty of extra towels. The only problem was the plug in the bathroom was not functioning. I had to dry and fix my hair without a mirror. Over all my stay was nice. I will stay at this hotel again.
