Don't go here

The non-smoking room was full of fresh smoke, strangely. Since no other rooms were available, we were in a dirty room and we were sad about that. The place is dangerous, falling apart and perhaps it's an indication that the updated, chic lobby is the nicest part of the stay.

More "Was" Than "Is"

Summary: I had a fair night's sleep in a clean bed after a great meal at the restaurant recommended by Front Desk when I asked during check in. Positives: I was able to check out with Front Desk personnel around 5am without delay. The hotel architecture speaks of a grand past life, though currently in varying states of decline. The room was quite large and the bed quite comfortable, and included a small refrigerator and microwave oven. The location was ideal, right off the Minters Freeway. The staff was attentive and friendly. Negatives: The first room they issued to me had an occupant already; it had been issued earlier in the day and I don't know if there was a computer or human scheduling failure. The toilet had a clog and was on the verge of overflowing every time I flushed it. The shower spigot did not indicate the way to turn for hot water, and the water did not get hot no matter where I positioned the handle.

Refused first room

Hotel need repair, first room ceiling was caving in so bad my head could almost touch it. I'm 5' 11". drapes were falling off. Second room was a little better ceiling still sagging but not as bad and furnance filter cover was leaning against the wall and filter was very dirty. Water damage through out whole building. Started to rain out side and they bring out several buckets to catch water in the lobby area. Would not reconmend to go to this spot.

Leaky Roof

It was a rainy day, and there were leaks and buckets all over the motel. The place needs a lot of work before it is nice. But it was cheep.

Not worth the trouble

So it all started when I pulled up, the front sliding door was broken so, no problem, I just used the side door as the sign directed. Once inside, there were buckets everywhere to catch the rain coming down from their leaky roof. Check-in was simple enough, I asked if there was a place where I could practice my instrument without bothering the other guests but the clerk did not know the building well enough to help, so I proceeded to my room. On the way to my room I took the elevator to the 3rd floor. On the way up, the elevator stopped, suddenly dropped a couple of inches and the went on the the 3rd floor. Once off I decided it probably was not a good idea to ride the elevator again. Once in my room, I find a hole in the bathroom where it looked like there was a light switch before. The entire room was rather dirty and the towels still had hair on them... At this point I needed to iron my clothes for the next day. The the amenities list that the have an iron and ironing board. There is a place or those items in my room but they are not there so I call the front desk to see if they could get them for me. I was told that they have an iron but no ironing board and that if I wanted to use it I would have to come to the front desk to check it out for the night. So I did. I got the impression that this was the only iron they had in the entire hotel. I took the iron back to my room and tried to iron at least my shirt on the table with a towel underneath, yes, one that had hair on it.... After a couple of minutes I gave up and just ironed the collar and the front. During the night I didn't notice any noise from the other guests, so that was nice. I'm the morning checkout was simple and fast once they noticed that I was there. In conclusion, I will not be back and I wish I could get my money back because it wasn't worth all the trouble.
