Great 3-4 day trip
Unit is a condo/timeshare located just offsite from the main Wilderness Smokies hotel. Condo is much larger and decorated more elaborately than hotel. Kitchen and washer/dryer also nice. Indoor and outdoor water park are nice but crowded at times. Many extra pay activities (arcade, mini golf, surf lessons, resturants, etc.) available. Walk from condo can be long for some but we did not mind.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Governer's Crossing area is very nice. Closer to resort but offers all that further drive into Pigeon Forge does. Use Vetern's Blvd as bypass to major traffic during the day.

Great Stay
Great Place to stay at a reasonable price. The kids and the adults had fun at the indoor waterpark. The indoor/outdoor hot tub was the best. It is a time share so no daily maid service, but anything you needed they brought you. Great kitchen, saved money on not eating out every meal.

Entertainment tip:
In Hotel
Don't spend your time and money at the amusement parks. The indoor water park was great and down the street there are go kart racing for kids and adults.

Good experience
GOOD: I would advise this hotel to anybody that wants to have a fun family vacation. The double bed room was beautiful and very well equipped. The service was excellent! Hotel employees at the pool were always nice and willing to help. Water park is amazing good, my kids loved it! I had chance to look at the hotel rooms closest to the pool, which would cost about same price of this double bed we stayed; and for a little more walking I would not stay in the closest one, because WyndhamVR Great Smokies Lodge's room is far away better. BAD: The only minor detail is the hotel tried for couple of time bring us to this presentations for buying time share. If you are the kind of person that can not say a firm no to a nice salesperson, you can spend part of your vacation sitting in a room with a salesperson instead to be at the pool with your family. If I wanted to give them part of my time, I would have take advantage of the free room promotions usually are offered for attending to these meetings, but since I had paid full price for the room they should not be calling my room for selling anything during my vacation.
