The people were very friendly, but the room was very dirty. The paint was peeling and the ceiling was leaking. It also ... smelled musty and the beds were very uncomfortable and low to the ground. We stayed the night because we were exhausted and it was after midnight, but we checked out the next morning without a very restful night.

Our 11 and 13 year old kids enjoyed the indoor pool and waterslides. The outdoor pool has a great leazy river. The 2 ... bedroom condo unit we had was very nice. The place was quiet and the staff was vrey friendly. Having Walmart across the street was nice as well. Full kitchen was a plus. Would stay there again.

Indoor pool was great! I just wished that they had some smaller kiddie slides-my 5 year old couldn't use the big slides even ... though her big brother could. My older son said the work out room was lacking. Over all thought we loved the hotel and we thougth the location was great. Had everything you needed to be comfortable.

Brian Jan 5, 2009
The Resort at Governers crossing was great. It is located right across the street from Super Walmart, So we could buy our ... groceries and stock the full size kitchen. Wireless access was great we had no problems. Dollywood is 5 minutes away, Ober Gatlinburg ski resort 20 minutes, Go- karts, Miniature golf, Bungee jumping, Great Restraunts minutes away. The king size bed was nice and the bathroom was very large. We made dinner in the kitchen to save money instead of going out to eat. We will be staying here again in the near future. Enjoyed; skiing Gatlinburg, The scenery of Newfoundland gap Road, The hike up to laurel falls is worth it beautiful, Or just take a drive and enjoy the scenery God created for our enjoyment. Just be a tourist take lots of pictures and have a good time.

Good Family Resort
John David Dec 29, 2008
The resort was in a very good location and the indoor water park was great in the winter. The rooms have full kitchens and a ... washer/dryer. I would not recommend a studio though because you share an entryway with the room beside of you. Someone checked in around 1 am one night and we heard both sets of doors opening and closing all night. Other than that, the resort was very nice. No on-site restaurants/bars but an Applebees is just next door.

Maybe good for families.
Don Oct 27, 2008
The location for the hotel is good and the staff were friendly. What we found was that our king condo room was very sparse in ... furnishings and amenities. Maybe the 1,2 bedroom condos are different or maybe each condo owner decides what they want in it. We didn't realize that the hotel was condos owned by different people. They have a nice indoor swim area with a slide that starts inside (in an enclosed tube), goes outside and ends up inside. We probably would not stay here again (being a Senior couple) but might recommend it to families with kids who would enjoy the swim area. You are close to the factory outlet stores and to the NASCAR tracks and to dining.

The Tanger Outlet Mall is only a short drive away. Within a mile. There are lots of stores and they always seem to have some sale going on. So the location is convenient to them.

Lots of space
Keith Oct 5, 2008
The Resort at Governor's Crossing was very spacious. We had a 1 bedroom with seperate den. It also had a full size kitchen, ... which would be very convient if you were staying for a longer period of time. The hotel itself seemed very basic. The furnishings were very minimum. It had a feel of being a little worn and in need of some TLC. It was located in the middle of everything. It was also off the main road, so it was very quiet.
