Great location, but...
The location of the hotel was great. Very close to activities. My issues are that the king bed we had was so uncomfortable. It was obvious that it was old and used. The hot tub was not hot at all. It wasn't a commercial hot tub it was one that a regular person could go to the store and buy. The water didn't seem very clean at all. The shower water in the room was hotter. Which brings me to the low/no pressure shower head. The staff was no help as far as what good places to eat are, and must see places to go and visit. If you are looking for just a room at decent price with nice view of golf course and river this hotel is great.

weekend getaway

Trip to see the President
The hotel was average...not exactly as depicted online, but acceptable. My room was not cleaned since I was late leaving that day and I was not used to that. Overall it was OK.

great staff
the staff at this motel was very nice and answered all questions. we got to the hotel very early and our room had not been cleaned yet and we asked if we could leave some boxes of choclate candy we had bought on the way in to town and they said no problem and it was there untouched when it was time to check in.the room was very clean and comfortable.

Okay stay
We were passing through. Just stop for a pit stop from Indiana. The hostess did not know the area very. Knew one side of town, but not the other. Love the room with one bed divided by a bathroom and doors with the other bed on the opposite side with a door leading to a terrace. The problem was one of the doors was kicked in and damaged badly. This should have been repaired! The door would not latch closed. Two rooms, one TV in one room with bed and no chairs, etc. If you want to be competitive, there are a few items that need to be worked on.

Enjoyed our stay........
We really enjoyed our stay at this motel. I love how the rooms are layed out so that there are basically 2 bedrooms. The balcony over looking the river was a nice touch for some extra relaxation. Will definitely use this motel again.

mini vacation
My family stayed 3 nights. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. We were disappointed that the pool was closed( wish I had asked or they had said so) the hot tub was open however.Very basic breakfast- cereal, milk. oj, apple juice, rolls. coffee and tea. Couldn't beat it for the price.

Dixie Stampede was awesome. There were many mini race car tracks. Many good restaurants of many types.
