ACTUALLY SHOPPING AND DINING WERE MANY CHOICES VERY CLOSE TO DRIVE TO OR WALK IF YOU WANTED AND THE TROLLY CAME TO THE LODGE TO PICK YOU UP FOR DOLLYWOOD EVERY 30 MINUTES AND THE COST TO GET YOU RIGHT TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE WAS $1:00 AND SAVED YOU THE DRIVE AND $8:00 PARKING AT THE PARK.

Clean, comfortable and cheap.
Susan, Retired Nov 14, 2009
This was our second stay here. If you want a cheap price and a basic place to stay this is your hotel. It is pretty clean. We ... brought our own mattress topper to make the bed softer. The beds are extra firm. The first time we stayed, the AC kept me awake with a rattling noise so I was a little hesitate to stay again. I am glad that we did. One concern that we had this time was with the heat/fan in the bathroom. It came on some times. The heater in the main room was not working properly. We chose to buy our breakfast at restaurants but you can eat a complimentary basic breakfast at the hotel. We will difinitely stay there again. We don't mind imperfection and a little inconvienence when the place is clean and hasstle free and cheap. All of the employees are very nice. If you are real picky, don't stay there, pay the big bucks at the fancier hotels. We loved saving our money to blow on food and entertainment.

Good, For The Price
Elaine, Ms Working Stiff Oct 9, 2009
Upon arriving at the motel, my husband requested a first floor room, the manager did one better. He assigned us a ground ... level room which had a balcony. Not fancy, but clean, conviently located, and for the price, comfortable. Good television, a small refrigerator, hairdryer, heater in the bathroom. I would reccomend this hotel for the budget minded who feel as long as it is clean, the beds and room is comfortable, the trip is the real focus and do not have to have a luxury hotel, for a really good price, this one fits the requirement.

While I liked the hotel and stayed there before[...]; I didn't like the idea that I was unable to specify what floor I wanted ... to be on. I brought my elderly mother there to take her to Dollywood. She has real difficulty in using stairs. We were given rooms on the third floor which has no elevator access. When I asked for rooms on the 2nd floor, which can be easily gotten to from the back parking lot, I was told that no rooms were available on that floor or the first floor. Needless to say, that made taking her out difficult, and put her in the position of stumbling and/or falling. [...]

Breakfast is not something to write home about. Bitter coffee Danish still in grocery store package. Very few items no fruit. Noisy guest screaming at girl friend at 2 am.

Deb Aug 31, 2009
Great location with an easy in and out of main drag Pigeon Forge traffic. WIFI. Good breakfast ... even biscuits & gravy. ... Couldn't seem to get the two couples together ... even though we had called and asked we were 5 rooms apart. Just exactly what they advertised ... and at a good price. One room had GREAT large screen TV ... the other had regular TV (something you wouldn't have known if you didn't know someone in another room) Bathrooms totally remodeled, as were sink/dressing area. They put in the minimum linens and when I asked for more they weren't very good quality (stained and frayed towels) ... but clean and it WAS late at night when I went to ask. We go to Pigeon Forge several times a year and I would stay here again.

It was located close to the trolley station if you wanted to ride instead of drive. The trolley is priced low. This hotel was located on a strip where shopping, family activies, and dining could be within a block or two either direction. Hotel was clean and reservation for my large group of 12 was accomplished without any inconvience.
