Located on the main Parkway strip with a heated pool and free hot breakfast
The central Parkway location of the three-story Vacation Lodge in Pigeon Forge puts the hotel in the center of all the town's action. Attractions such as Dollywood, Dollywood's Splash Country and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park are nearby. There is an adjacent trolley stop for easy access to area attractions. Uncaring owners
Motel is dated and starting to show it's age. On top of that, the owner shows no compassion. I had to leave two days early due to a death in the family; owner said there was nothing he could do. Like many businesses in the area, they know if you don't like the service or the prices, someone else will replace you. It is like going to Vegas--the only thing missing is the slot machines and gambling (which can be had in Cherokee). Definately not like the old days at the Smokies.

Save your money and go to Disney World. The commercialism of the area has nothing to do with the Great Smokie Mountains.

cheap!
The carpet needs updating, so does the shower curtains, and toilet sit low. But hey it is what it is, cheap. If you are looking for cheap place to shower and get some sleep, this will do. No bed bugs.

Located in the middle of all the attractions and dining in Pigeon Forge. You can walk to the Golden Coral and other dining spots. And Gatalinburg is only 8 minutes away.

Convenient to sites
The room was small but clean. It had amenities such as microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot. Towels and wash cloths were old and tattered, but clean. Staff was friendly and professional. It is very convenient to Dollywood, and other shows and attractions in Pigeon Forge as well as in Gatlinburg. Not an upper to medium class motel by any means, but for the price and convenience we considered it a very good deal.

Great Stay, as usual!
We usually check on different hotels any time we go to Pigeon Forge, but most always end up at Vacation Lodge. Always clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location and the price is always comparable. Doesn't get much better!

Wedding Trip
I was worried after reading previous reviews but the lodge was just fine. Friendly staff, very good continental breakfast(plenty of scrambled eggs, home-made(yes HOME-MADE) biscuits and gravy, doughnuts, muffins, cereal, bagels & cream cheese and plenty of coffee, milk and juice) Good location even had a car show in the parking lot on Saturday. We weren't in the room very much except to sleep. Very good for the money!!!!!

Brought Senior couple in failing health to mountains
One room had mildew in the air conditioning unit which they cleaned up after we pointed out because this couple is dealing with cancer and highly allergic to mold and mildew. We reserved two rooms. Our room is in need of a new mattress but more so it definitely needs new pillows. The pillows was near to nothing. The room was a non-smoking; however, when you opened the door it smelled like a smoking room. It was clean and had everything we needed, just needed some grooming to make it perfect. We have been staying at vacation lodge for several years and are very pleased with the location and the lodge overall. the staff are very polite and courteous. Just pointed out a few things to make it better. Thanks for the opportunity.

great location
If you are looking for a place to sleep that is in a good location then this is a good place for you. It was an older place but clean and the staff was helpful. If you are looking for a place with entertainment then this is not the room for you.

great location
The hotel is located close to outlet stores and tourist atractions. The amenities has seen better days, but it is ok. We enjoyed our stay. There is complimentary breakfast, it is good.
