No attendant after 9pm
Chis Dec 22, 2009
We arrived just before 9pm and checked in fine. When we got to the room we decided we needed more towels and returned to the ... lobby to ask for more, bur found that the lobby closed at 9pm! The worker who checked us in had not mentioned that. We tried to use the free Wi-Fi, but couldn't because we were never told the password or username and the lobby was closed and no one answered when we telephoned. The breakfast is only doughnuts and coffee and they did not open till 8am for that. Other wise it was nice, warm enough, not noisy and comfortable.

Good place to stay
KY Geocachers Dec 14, 2009
We stayed here during a quick weekend trip to the Smokies, to do some holiday shopping. The room was clean, the beds were ... comfortable, and everything was in working order. (Fridge, microwave, Iron) On our 2nd day there, when we returned to our room in the afternoon, you could still smell the cleaning agents the maid had used in our room. That assured me, she really did clean. We will surely stay here again, great value, great location, right on the parkway, and a pancake house right next door. The only thing we didn't like about the whole place, was the parking spaces are a little small.

I booked this hotel because it was the lowest rate on this site. Driving up and down the strip I saw every other hotel ... advertising a lower rate that looked just as good or better. They all had vacancies also. ($19.99 and up)

Anniversary couple Dec 7, 2009
When we checked in, overall it was ok. We tried using the wireless internet, and mentioned it to the front desk that it ... didn't work. They said they weren't aware of it not working, and didn't seem to care. Our tv remote was working fine the first night, however, they decided to switch remotes on the second night. Why? I don't know, but had to get one from the front desk and program it myself. [...]

Great trip on a budget for Thanksgiving
Stinson Family Thanksgiving Dec 2, 2009
We had a great stay Thanksgiving weekend. We had a tight budget this year due to only having one income in our family. We ... usually stay in Gatlinburg but do a lot of shows in Severville, Tn. I was really impressed with the pictures on the internet and the actual room being the same. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed in TN.

The parking was terrible, especially if you have a larger vechicle. Our tv remote was broken and had to call three times to ... get a new one. Each time, they said they would send someone up, but nobody ever came. My mom stayed here the weekend before and her microwave caught on fire. She was told the same thing, so she just took it down to the front desk and left it. We only were given one large towel for two people. Other than that, great location, excellent price, large rooms.

WHEN I ARRIVED AT 3:30 PM, THE CHECK-IN MAN SEEMED NICE; FROM THERE HE WENT DOWN. THE ELEVATOR WAS NOT WORKING AND I HAD TO ... WALK UP TO THE THIRD FLOOR. CALLED THE OFFICE ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND HE SAID HE'LL CALL THEM ABOUT IT. FRIDAY MORNING ABOUT 11 AM, I USED THE ELEVATOR TO GO DOWN AND IT STOPPED BETWEEN FLOORS AFTER SHIMMING AND OTHER NOISES. GOT ON THE ELEVATOR PHONE TO THE OFFICE AND SHE COULD NOT HEAR ME WELL. IT DID START AGAIN AND LEFT ME OFF ON THE SECOND FLOOR. WENT TO THE OFFICE TO TELL THE NICE LADY WHAT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY MORNING AND I TOLD HER THAT I CALLED THE OFFICE THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND TOLD THE MAN ABOUT IT NOT WORKING; SHE SAID NO REPORT WAS WRITTEN UP ON THE ELEVATOR. AFTER I WORKED AS SANTA CLAUS IN GATLINBURG, I STOPPED IN THE OFFICE TO THANK THEM ABOUT GETTING IT FIXED; THE SAME MAN THAT I TALKED TO ON THURSDAY DIDN'T THINK THAT THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. THE ROOM WAS NOT TOTALLY CLEANED LIKE NEEDLE CAPS WAS UNDER THE DESK AND TRASH AT THE DOOR. THE LIGHT SWITCHED AT THE DOOR DID NOT WORK DUE TO THE LAMP NOT BEING PLUGGED IN AND NO BULB IN IT; HAD TO GO ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ROOM TO GET A LIGHT ON TO SEE IN THE ROOM. SATURDAY MORNING BEFORE CHECKING OUT TIME, THE MAN WANTED TO CLEAN THE ROOM. AFTER CHECKING OUT AND LEFT THE GROUNDS, I REALIZED THAT I LEFT SOMETHING I NEEDED ON THE BED AND THE NICE LADY LET ME BACK IN TO GET THE ITEM. SINCE PEOPLE FROM INDIA OWNS THE MOTEL AND THAT IS WHO CLEANS THE ROOM, THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO STAYS THERE TO ME, THEY JUST WANT OUR MONEY.

My husband and I really enjoyed the Blue Moose. It is family friendly and they have really good wings and burgers definetly worth checking out. It is located just behind the Carousel(on the main parkway) which is another good place to eat also. If you go there and have room for desert I would recommend the hot fudge sunday. My husband and I could not finish all of ours. The glass is coated in fudge and nuts and that was alot of fun to eat.
