great factory outlet stores. And the veiw of the mountains are fantasic. Gould spend days driving the country side.

The Good, The bad, and the ugly
First night was HORRIBLE; paint chipping off the walls, calck around the bathtub faucet, and a rust ring in the bottom of the bathtub it's self. Got a different room the second night that was some better. Both rooms had a "musty" smell. Overall the hotel was NOT worth the price, could have gotten a lot better hotel for the price. Was located on the lower end of pigeon forge, TN closer to Gatlinburg. Was within walking distance to grocery store, and next door to dixie stampede.

Family Inn Pigeon Forge
For the money it was a good deal. Our air conditioner did not work properly, it never really got cold. We went to the office and they were willing to please us with no problems, they gave us another room. As for noise level it was a little noisy, but it could be because our room was next to the pool. Otherwise it was clean and good location. But this hotel does not have blow dryers in them, I'm glad we brought our own.

Short drive from hotel
Bennetts barbecue has very good food and give plenty to eat. Every time we go to Pigeon Forge we make it a point to go their and we have never been dissapointed. I hate all other barbecue places because I think there to greasy or fatty, but their's is not like that, It's the only barbecue place I will eat at.

you get what you pay for
The hotel did not have my reservation, but I had my confirmation papers and they accomodated me. They gave me a key to an occupied room and I nearly had my hand torn off. I received another room and I had to ask for towels, rags, and even toilet tissue! I was only five minutes away from my destination and that was the best part.

Decent room for the cheapest you can fin
At check in they did not have my reservation, they blamed it on orbitz, after 15 minutes of waiting they found me. The desk clerk was friendly. The room was good for the money, but door only had ONE LOCK, the knob. No chain or deadbolt. But for the money it was clean enough and provided soaps and towels and microwave and fridge.

The Dixie Stamped is right next door, it is a little pricey $40 adult $20 children, but look for coupons! This is somethine everyone should do once!
