Hints and tips

This hotel is a great option for those on a budget who still like nice amenities. While it's fun to walk to the sights by Bridgestone, remember that the region's hills can make the trek back a bit more strenuous, especially after long visits to the local bars.

Room doors lead directly outside, so the staff recommends requesting higher-level rooms to minimize street noise.

Motel, not a hotel

Would not recommend Tue, Dec 8, 2015
with stained towels and a filthy bathroom. Beds were comfy and location was ok, but pay a few bucks more for a real hotel.

great place to stay in Nashville

Would recommend Thu, Nov 12, 2015
This was our first time to stay at The Capital Hotel, and we will definitely stay here again. The hotel is in a great location - close to great restaurants and great music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Even though you enter the room from the outside, it was very quiet (we were on the fourth floor). Great place to stay!

Nashville

We thought this was a great hotel, it was within walking distance of pretty much all we did, the staff was very helpful. Would recommend it for the more budget minded travelers.

Dark spot of otherwise great vacation

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 22, 2015
The pictures of this hotel are incredibly misleading. Once you arrive you realize it had once been a junky motel that has had a partial face-lift. The room was clean enough but the rest of the hotel was gross. I'm sure if/when they finish the renovation it will be decent but they should be up front with the fact that it's an open air motel-esque property.

great effort by staff with dated hotel

Rooms were very clean, but dated and basic. Staff did a commendable job for what they had to work with.

Great location for weekend in Nashville

Would recommend Wed, Oct 14, 2015
Hotel location was fantastic, just a few blocks from the main street, Broadway. The rooms were recently updated and very clean - fan in the bathroom was a bit loud, but other than that it was a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay again!

Fine if you need a room

Would recommend Sat, Oct 3, 2015
This is an older hotel that had a facelift, but not a great one. Imagine a multi-story motel in art deco style, and you've got the Capitol. The staff could not have been any more hospitable. The place just seems a little tired. In a pinch it's just fine, but I would not consider it a luxury accommodation by any means.

Should be called The Capitol Motel...

Would not recommend Wed, Sep 23, 2015
The room was extremely small, not clean (blood on the comforter), no amenities and there was a drip in the bathroom directly above the toilet. The television had static and room service never once cleaned the room during our entire three night stay. For what I paid, I expected A LOT more and I would NOT recommend staying here.

Great location!

Would recommend Fri, Aug 21, 2015
Convenient to all if the action in Nashville. We walked everywhere. Breakfast included was a great way to start the day and cost effective. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff (most)were friendly and helpful. Not the most luxurious of hotels but for the money and location it was great.
