Older hotel & not close to downtown

Room was nothing special (pedestal sink not very convenient at all) & location is not very close to downtown. They do offer shuttle service up to 10pm but you will have to take a taxi after that. No breakfast provided and I thought a little pricey.

Millenium

Although being 2 miles from downtown, it was still a decent time. 179 a night for the first 2 nights seems a little steep in retrospect. Service was good and people were friendly and room was clean but nothing was really close to the hotel.

Not the usual Millennium

Our experience at the Millennium Maxwell House was terrible. The first room we were given smelled like smoke and the bathroom was filthy. The second room at least didn't smell, but the I felt dirty taking a shower. The bathrooms were outdated and dirty. Also, neither room had a refrigerator or microwave, you had to pay extra to get one and you had to request it ahead of time. This was very aggravating! Lastly, when I decided to chose the Millennium I chose it because of the free shuttle service that "had no time limit" and the free continental breakfast it "said" it offered. There was NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST and the shuttle stopped at 10:30pm! This once again was very aggravating! Overall, I was very disappointed in the Millennium Maxwell and the false advertisement. It was not worth $60 dollars a night let alone over $100 that we paid.

Illusion of Graduer

From the outside appearance of the Millennium one would believe the hotel would be grand! What an illusion! The circumference of the room was too small for what was deemed a "club room". Duvet on the comfortable bed was dirty upon first arrival thus I requested another which, I must say, was promptly provided to me. I was saddened by the state of the bathroom which I considered disgusting as a result of the dirty tiles were dirty tiles and unsanitary looking tub. Let's just say that Lysol and Clorox became a quick friend on this trip. I didn't think I came on this trip to do housekeeping but was I fooled! The ladies of housekeeping did not change the linens because I left an item on the bed and it was the hotel's policy not to remove items to replace linens or make the bed. I feel all guests should be notified of this policy upon check-in not once one returns to the room. I do love the city of Nashville and plan to return soon, however, I doubt I will choose the Millennium Maxwell House for future accomodations.

BAD Experience!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed for one night just to get away for relaxation. We will not be staying again. As soon as we arrived, had trouble with our television and called several times and visited the front desk as well. Many promises to send technician. Took 3 hours to get assistance. Hotel blamed it on television service. Requested to switch rooms and when we finally got rooms changed we moved all of our things to the other room only to find out that the televisoion was having promblems in our second room. Had to go to the front desk AGAIN and request to be switched back because there were no more rooms. Front desk workers were NOT helpful at all. One man I spoke with was even rude, acting as if helping us was a burden. Spent most of our time trying to get help that was barely given. Also, walls were somewhat thin and neighbors were quite loud. We usually stay at the Embassy Suites, which is very nice. Though, we wanted to try something new a little closer to downtown. BIG mistake. Regret our stay. Will drive a little extra and stay at a much higher quality hotel next time. HIGHLY recommend Embassy Suites over Millenium Maxwell House.

Great Hotel - Highly Recommend it!

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and took care of all of our needs. The rooms were roomy and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. The location is a couple of miles from downtown, but it makes the spot a little more quiet and cozy and the free shuttle to/from downtown and to/from the airport is a nice bonus. I highly recommend staying here.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

We had dinner at the Acorn Restaurant hidden in a side street in the West End part of town, near Vanderbilt. The shuttle was able to take us there too. I found this gem on citysearch and we loved it. The food was so good we wanted to lick our plates and the service was very friendly and attentive. There is also a very nice outdoor porch that overlooks the neighborhood and offers a nice spot for outdoor dining. There are even heat lamps for the chilly nights.
