Lovely and relaxing!
I had stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. I was not disappointed. In fact, this stay was better than the last. The staff was extremely accommodating. When I needed anything someone was there in an instant. As with most upscale hotels the mini bar prices were insane, and it is plain ridiculous to charge so much for parking.

Trip to Nashville
Sightseeing, listening to live music. Hotel was very nice, service was good. It was pet-friendly, which we did not know, and we were awakened the first morning by a barking dog. Front desk responded quickly and looked for the culprit. They also offered us a free lunch to compensate for our sleep being disrupted.

Loewe Nashville
Hotel was clean and convenient for my business in town. The service was prompt and friendly. And, I loved the decor and shape of the rooms. As someone who travels on business weekly, it's nice to feel like you're in a nice guest room of someone's home and not a rat in a neutral toned cage. My only complaint if I had to find one was that the pillows were too soft for my personal comfort.

Quick Trip to Nashville
It would have been nice to know that this is a pet-friendly hotel and there is only one floor of rooms that don't allow pets (8th Fl). [...] Otherwise the stay was fine. Staff was friendly.

Like most, they'll nickel and dime you
I've come to understand that 5 star doesn't mean better- it's a completely different experience. Maybe the rock and country stars whose signatures grace the cd's on the walls need a staff capable of finding a live camel at 2:15 am, but I don't. I need wireless access in my room that doesn't cost extra. I would like free coffee, or at least a hotel that doesn't put a $7 bag of cookies in my room to tempt my kids. What has happened here (and at other hotels) is that they've lowered prices to appeal to customers like me only to find they can't run their hotel on what they charge. So then they nickle and dime you to death. Not very classy, but par for the course these days. Next time, I'll stay at the Hampton Inn across the street. This wasn't a bad experience, but I know I'll get more for my money over there.

Regardless of whether you like country and western, go to the Opry. It's a great value, family-friendly, and a good show even on slow nights.
