Fatal flaw

While there are several minor issues that would make this a somewhat undesirable hotel at which to stay, there is one major problem that makes this place a must to avoid: there is a large railroad hump yard very nearby that works 24/7. Whenever a train is being broken down into smaller cuts of cars, there is a very loud SCREEEEEEEEEEpauseSCREEEEEEEEEE that woke us up repeatedly. The nearby expressway's noise was soothing by comparison. Avoid this place!

Clean Inside - Not Outside

This Inn is a motel that has a train tracks close by. The window had a valance rather than blinds that pull closed. I had to hang a blanket over the windows for privacy. On a good note, the room was very clean inside.

Great price, if you overlook things!

Great price but needs some work. Ceilings in the bathroom were damaged and peeling. Shower/tub were in poor condition, drains were plugged in shower and sink. Carpet in room were stained and dirty. Hotel's location is between the interstate and a train yard so it's a bit noisy. I guess you get what you pay for! Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Lobby was very warm with no air conditioning.

My room was clean but my friend's was terrible. The tv didn't work right. The room smelled. There was no lock on the door. My bathroom door did not close.

There was a wonderful little Waffle House that shared the parking lot with the hotel. It was tiny and dirty, the staff wasn't too friendly, but the food was amazing!

La Quinta sucks

when i first checked in and was getting comfortable in the room i noticed there was no remote in the room when i called and told front desk they had one but i would have to go get which meant i would have to get dressed and drive back around to front desk so i told them i would get it the next day but when i went to get they did not have it and they were full so they could take from another room. also after using the shampoo it was replenished the next day.

Stay away if you want some rest

The hotel is old and needs updating. You can hear the screeching from the train transfer all night long. The staff was not at all friendly or accomodating. Definitely a place to sat away from if you expect to get any rest.

I wouldn't eat at the Waffle House not very clean. The cook was wiping his nose with his index finger and then wiping it on his pants and continueing to cook the food. We didn't notice it until after we were eating, so we didn't say something. The following day after traveling for 7 HRS my wife became very ill at the rest stop at the FL. border on hi-way 231.After my wife spent about an hour in the bathroom we left an I found a motel to stay at for 2 days in Chipley FL till she felt well enought to finish our trip to Davenport FL were we stay for 6 mounts before heading back to MN.

Think twice before staying here

We would not stay at this hotel again. It is located in a not-so-desirable part of Nashvile, for one thing. It is really old and needs major renovations. Also, the heater in our room just blew cool air; it NEVER got warm. We stayed away from the hotel room as much as possible. It was not a good experience.

There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance which was the only redeeming quality exhibited by this hotel.

Can't complain about a $40 room

Checked in, slept, checked out eight hours later. Perfect hotel for that purpose, although I wouldn't want to spend an extended period there. Hairs in sink, black substance around the tub, dried food on desk. Room was in a dark corner with no security lighting. But again, for $40, the expectation wasn't very high. The location was good and complimentary continental breakfast was included. I wouldn't be opposed to staying there again, but I won't make it a point to return.
