La Quinta Inn & Suites Nashville Airport

The Hotel was in an average location nearby other popular chains. Most things about it really gave off that "we need to work on this place" vibe. Three out of 5 nights I visited, I made multiple trips to the front desk because my room keys would not open my door. The front desk clerks thought this may be because of: Being "incorrectly programmed for the number of nights" (multiple times), my cell phone usage, or being "near the airport". I could never get into my room. The continental breakfast was bare bones at best. My average meal for breakfast was a hard boiled egg and some orange juice. Who knows when the eggs were prepared. The wifi access had good signal strength but my average downloading speeds were anywhere from 30-100kbps. A telephone modem is 56kbps. This was a little inconvenient for me, being an IT professional.

I stay in an average of 100 hotel rooms a year. La Quinta's are normally good quality hotels, but this particular location is behind the times. Everything was outdated. From the extremly small bathrooms, to the out dated sheets. I felt like I was stepping back into the late 80's when I drove into the property. I will never stay there again.

Horrible experience. Received a smoking room despite requesting nonsmoking. Did not get wakeup call as requested. Keycard repeatedly failed requiring multiple trips to front desk. Air conditioning barely worked. Would never ever ever stay there again. Employees showed no interest in correcting issues. When I pointed out that I had requested nonsmoking room, I was told "thats what happens when you book through third party sites like [...]". Then they told me that I could try to find another hotel if I wanted, at 9:00 on a Saturday night!

The non-smoking room smelled nasty and smoky. The hall -way outside the room was smelly and the exit doorway to the parking lot stunk! I complained on day 1 to the front desk and was informed that the bottom 2 floors were non-smoking. I checked out the followind day and was not offered a refund ; I had paid for 2 nights.

The hotel was old and although some renovations have been done they missed the mark. The hotel was dingy and all of the hallways smelled like stale cigarettes. The first room we were assigned had not been cleaned. Our second room was clean, however mold around the shower and some other issues overshadowed the attempts at update. The bed were comfortable and staff was friendly. I would not recommend nor would I stay again.

While I had not stayed at this particular hotel befoe, I had stayed at others in this chain. This one was not the same quality as the ones I had stayed at before. The additional cost for this chain was not worth it. In defense of this particular property, it was recently purchased from another chain and has not yet been refurbished but is going to be. It is close to the airport and has schuttle service which is why it was chosen.

Staff was not friendly. They forgot they had checked me in so they called me at 12am to ask who I was. Not awful but Unprofessional.

Hotel was okay, older model but acceptable. Cable was not working so we called down and they said they knew it wasn't but they were working on it. That is hard for me to believe someone was working on it on Sat night and it still wasn't fixed Sunday morning. If they had no television I think that they should have told us at check in and let us decide if we wanted to stay there or not. At least give us a discount or something. Television is important to us at night.

The Hotel smelled of old cigarette smoke in the hallways. The room was clean-ish, but there was an odor of mustiness. The toilet seat was not attached tightly to the tank, there were several deep gouges in the tub, the light above the dressing table/bathroom basin was dim.
