Great Shower! Hotel is beautiful, and was very clean and in a great location. Front Desk staff was kind of snotty - they ... should pay more attention to the customers they are working with than what's going on with the other desk staff's customers. The cleaning gals were so nice, very polite and smiled all the time - maybe they should work the front desk. Overall a great, relaxing place to stay - the shower is worth it alone.

What a great place to stay in Nashville. This hotel was wonderful all the way around. Great service, beautiful rooms... The ... turndown service was great too! We loved that there were eco-friendly features, like lights that turn on/off when your room key card is in the slot, toilets that flush with different water amounts, etc. Beautiful hotel. Modern features. Would stay again!

Great Hotel!
Steve Sep 21, 2009
We based our choice for this hotel on a review from another website, and it was better than the reviewers said! The hotel is ... very modern, but still very warm and comfortable! The most important part - the bed is very comfortable! It's got all the usual amenities you'd expect to find in a nice hotel room - flat screen TV, desk, safe, extra chair. The bathroom was nice sized, with a stylish glass vanity and sink, and a glass walled shower (no tub). The shower also shared a frosted wall with the bedroom, so don't invite people over while you shower unless you're good friends - if you're not friends beforehand, you will be after your shower! The hotel is "green," and has several energy saving features. One is apparently an air conditioner that takes a long time to cool the room off. That's our only real complaint, but once we got the room cool that wasn't an issue. The elevators provide a comical relief when you ride up. There's a woman's voice that announces "door closing," "going up," "going down," etc. After a while it did get a little annoying - the staff said it was REALLY annoying!

Yup, It's Hip and Trendy

Overall, a pleasant experience. Loved the very contemporary room and especially the bathroom (how do you get that cool ... bamboo grain wallpaper?). The front desk check-in was fine (especially with Armani manning the station), but other staff seemed desultorily friendly. On check-out, I did catch a wine charge from the honor bar which wasn't mine (I never was provided with an honor bar key), but it was removed without too much hassle. LOTS of weddings and the overall noise annoyances these events seem to generate, but again, overall a pleasant hotel. I'd go back there and stay again since so many other places in Nashville seem like dumps.

Wonderful Hotel Great Service
Niota Nomads Sep 8, 2009
The staff is excellent and friendly the rooms are very clean and the bedding is some of the best we've ever had. We really ... enjoyed the rain shower. Hotel is located next to the police dept. and even on the 15th floor the sirens woke us up. There is no fridg and that's an inconvience but still excellent place to stay. I would not recommend the restaurant. We order oyster po' boy and the fish was BAD! That can happen anywhere but they had served them to the table next to us and they complained too. The problem was they kept serving them! We complained and they didn't charge us for dinner and we shared a meal of excellent short ribs but later that night both of us were ill. We did tell management and they appologized. It made for an uncomfortable few hours for us. Don't order the fish!

Try the Pie in the Sky pizza, this place is great and fairly priced. Have breakfast at "Noshville" it's an excellent New York Style deli and very good. The menu is extensive and well prepared, service is fast and price is average $15/person. The fancier restaurants are expensive and the places the college kids go are better both in price and food.

Great hotel in Nashville!
Chicago Travelers Aug 23, 2009
Awesome hotel fairly close to town. The hotel is new and clean, and the staff is friendly as can be. We loved our stay and ... would reccomend it to most anyone. I would not suggest this hotel for a family though. It is more for couples or business people looking for a hip, new, modern hotel. The only negative at this hotel was the courtesy shuttle. It is hard to pin them down as to when it is avaialbe. It is like they advertise having a courtesy shuttle, but they don't really want to use it much. We are frequent travelers and this hotel ranks right up there with some of the better ones that we have stayed at/

Modern, Clean & Green
Modern and Green Aug 11, 2009
As a first-time vistor to Nashville, I was concerned about the location - I wanted to be able to easily get to the key ... attractions via car. Upon arriving, I was concerned that the hotel was in the middle of nowhere - it is on a major street lined with other hotels, but not the kind of street where you can walk around and window shop. That was fine, since we had a car and wanted to stay away from crowds and noise. The hotel is in the middle of everything - close to Vandy, downtown, walking distance to Music Row, major highways. Very modern, clean, tidy, environmentally friendly rooms - love the glass vanity and shower in bathroom, platform bed, room design awesome - espresso machine in small room on floor, coffee/tea service in room. The only thing I didn't like was that your only option for a snack or beverage was the room mini bar (or hotel restaurant/bar - both excellent) - no place to purchase a soda or bag of nuts unless you want to spend big $$. Go to the gym for free bottles of water in the frig :) Self-park is $20 but easy in-out with hotel key validation.

Hutton is fabulous!
Paniolo5 Aug 6, 2009
Wow! This hotel is beautiful. Located on the main road but several blocks away from the bars. Very easy to get to although ... not the most beautiful surroundings. Covered parking attached to the hotel (free to hotel guests). The decor is very modern & sophisticated with gorgeous dark wood throughout. The staff was wonderful - friendly and helpful. I emailed a couple of questions prior to our arrival and heard back almost immediately from the hotel manager and the concierge. We were greeted every time we came through the lobby. We never waited more than 1-2 minutes for an elevator. The rooms were spacious & immaculate, with plenty of room to spread out. There was a seating area with a chair and side table. The bed & pillows were perfect - very plush & comfy. I have to have that bathroom in my home - the overhead shower was to die for, the glass sink fit for a princess. We never actually saw the housekeeping staff but our room was always clean; they did a nightly turn down service, and pulled out the coffee maker (kept in a cabinet) for our use the next morning. There were also plush robes & slippers in the room for our use. If I had an exercise room this gorgeous at home, you'd never get me out of there. Plenty of equipment: most hotels we've been to have 1-2 treadmills/ellipticals - The Hutton has 3-4 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 recumbent bikes, 1 upright bike, plus free weights & weight machines. TVs on the power equipment with headphones available for use, plus a fridge of waters (this fridge could be kept cooler - the waters weren't much cooler than room temp). We did not eat in the restaurant but ordered room service (food was great) after returning from a show at the Opry. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for using the hotel car service to take us to Sambuca for dinner. This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge after he spent some time with us to find out what we might like. I will go back to Nashville just to eat at this place. It was by far the best meal we've ever had and the atmosphere was perfect - a small band playing on the corner stage, lowered lighting but not dark, able to have our own intimate dinner conversation even with the tables sitting pretty close together. My only two "issues" - the HVAC did kick off in the middle of the night because I believe it's motion-activated, so the room got a little warm. Also, there is no pool which I knew when I booked the hotel - not a big thing for us but someone else might miss it. If you like tons of people & the typical Nashville experience, go to Opryland. If you like a more peaceful atmosphere and a gorgeous bigger room for the price, book at the Hutton. Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely return to Nashville - already planning a group trip with friends - and we will stay at the Hutton.

This hotel is wonderful in every way. The service is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, and the location is great. We ... really liked the rain shower and the comfortable beds. The fresh juice in the lobby was wonderful. The location is perfect if you like to take walks or go out to eat. The rooms are not large but that was not a problem at all for us. The bath amenities are great and the service was exceptional. This is a great hotel and is so close to Vanderbilt University and the Parthenon - an easy walk to both. This was an enjoyable getaway for us.

Great restaurants are within a short walk or drive. The hotel staff gave great dining tips! There is a great Indian restaurant called Sitar a few blocks away and numerous other restaurants within close walking distance. A short drive away (2 miles) is Tabouli's which has wonderful Middle Eastern fare and a nice beer and wine selection. There are many other choices as well. Also, parking was available on the street behind the hotel for no charge, or you could use the Hutton's pay lot.
