Prime location and famous southern hospitality
For business or pleasure, the comfortable and convenient Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown hotel offers genuine southern hospitality right in the center of Music City USA. Nice place
Would stay at this hotel again. Only complaint was that it was too close to train track and you could hear the train whistle too often for our taste.

Red Velvet
Great location
Walking distance to music row, the Ryman, LP Field and the Gulch Neighborhood. Very clean and a friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

A Little Overrated as a 4 Star.
Given the location, the Holiday Inn Express was an overall good value. The room was nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is terrible however. If you don't have a car then itls not a problem.

Totally surprised at the accomodations
Stayed at this hotel for a night when we went to visit Vanderbilt. Did not know anything about the location but turned out to be centrally located. Great amenities - computer, printer, free shuttle and great customer service

Convenient downtown location
We were mainly looking for an affordable hotel downtown, and this one fit the bill. It was cheaper than many of the others in the same location, and had good amenities and our room was clean and quiet. The free breakfast was quite nice (all the usual continental breakfast items you'd expect, plus sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, yogurt, and more). It's an easy, short walk to all the bars and live music venues. Parking will cost you an extra $20/night, but we didn't have a car so it didn't affect us. Also worth noting is they do not offer free shuttle service to/from the airport, so keep that in mind.

Robert's Western World had the best atmosphere and bands out of the dozens and dozens of bars down in that area. We found many of the other venues either too cheesy, or too fratboyish.

Good location
Overall our stay was fine. The location is perfect with all of the major sights within walking distance and easy access to freeways. The hotel itself was a bit lacking...no bar or food service, basic rooms and poor air conditioning. But hey, it's a Holiday Inn.
