Fun Nashville Trip

Would recommend Mon, Feb 9, 2015
Spent a rocking good time in Nashville for the weekend and this hotel was exactly what we expected for the price. Great deal. Rooms were big and clean, set up kind of odd but overall it was a great stay. Free breakfast was awesome if you could wake up for it, was very pleased by it. Staff was awesome. Besides the breakfast the best part of this hotel was it was a $5-6 cab ride to the strip w/ all the bars and fun stuff. Definitely staying there again next year. Just remember you are getting what you pay for, don't expect 5 star but for the money it's decent, clean, safe place to stay.

Nightlife hint

Cab rides from the hotel are cheap and you get free breakfast. Also bunch of great food spots nearby.

Great location & good place to rest our heads

Would recommend Wed, Sep 24, 2014
My husband and I chose this hotel primarily based on value and location and we were not disappointed. The hotel is one block behind the main road so when we drove up we were slightly nervous as the outside appears outdated but once inside the hotel we were pleasantly surprised! It has clearly been recently updated so the lobby is contemporary and the rooms were clean, spacious enough and a good place to rest our heads. Plus, we had rented a car and parking was free and easily accessible. The best part of this hotel was the location. We attended a Vanderbilt football game and were in walking distance to the stadium (about a mile). On our first night, we were ready for drinks and dinner and found a number of bars and restaurants just a couple of blocks up. We stayed out after midnight and had a very safe walk home. On another night we took a cab downtown to The District- only about $7 including tip. Lastly, although we did not eat at the hotel for breakfast - it ends at 9 a.m.-, we walked through one day and were surprised to see a chef making fresh omelets and waffles on top of the bagels, muffin and toast selection. Overall, we'd stay here again! Great value when compared to some of the other hotels in the area!

Dining

Loveless Cafe is a must. Long wait for a table but things to do to pass the time. It was WORTH it!

Good Location, Great Staff, Convenient Location

Would recommend Fri, Aug 22, 2014
I stayed at the GuestHouse Inn and Suites Vanderbilt overnight to take my daughters to a concert at LP Field. While we did have to drive to the concert and to activities on Broadway, it wasn't far from anything we wanted to do, and it was good to stay a little off of the beaten path. We also visited the Parthenon, the Antique Archaeology shop (home of History Channel's American Pickers), and ate at Jack's Bar-b-q for lunch (Excellent!), and all were very conveniently located to the hotel. While the room was nice, but nothing spectacular, the staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. All in all this was a great stay and a very nice hotel.

Anniversary getaway

Would not recommend Fri, Aug 22, 2014
My experience when checking in was unpleasant one of the female staff act as if it was a bother to assist, the other female staff seemed clueless and charged my card when I had already paid for my reservation online . The room was quaint but comfortable but I did notice a dead bug behind one of the night stands when I was looking for a plug to charge my phone. Overall the stay was pleasant but I thought the hotel was a little outdated when I needed to fill ice bucket I had to go to lobby reception area where the ice machine was located. The location was great due to it was convenient to where we ate dinner for our anniversary, I would give this hotel a 2.5 rating but would not return unless the hotel was renovated with 21st century upgrades.

Great location to downtown. Very clean and comfortable room. Our only issue was housekeeping starting to clean rooms and hallways very early and they have a noon check out.

Better than expected

Would recommend Sat, Jul 26, 2014
I was a little leary about my stay after reading other peoples reviews, but the staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The hotel looked like it had been recently remodeled. The lobby was very nice and so was our room. The room was very nice except the paint was starting to crack and peel a little. But all and all the place was very nice. They had a very nice breakfast and omelet bar that was free. There is also a mexican restaurant next door that you can walk to. We needed a hotel close to the hospital and this hotel was about half the cost of other hotels in the same area. I would definitely stay here again

Money saver

It's a short drive to the hospitals at downtown Nashville and a very long walk to the night life in downtown Nashville.
