Disappointing
Mold, mold, mold. Moldy bathroom (no ventilation fan in bathroom), moldy wall under windows, intense mold smell in room.

Great Time.
Very nice hotel. Not far from all the fun stuff. Only bad thing was there was not a room ready for us when we arrived and asked them to call us and let us know when ready, they did not. So after several hours we had to go back to hotel and try again to check in.

Bathroom issues
When we arrived the staff was very nice and accommodating even on a Friday at 5:30. The issue came when we got to our room. We heard a dripping in the bathroom. The bathtub faucet had been dripping. In fact it had been dripping for so long that the tub was only 3 inches from overflowing! Also, the toilet had not been cleaned and there were several stains along the rim. It was a nice hotel in a great location but they need to work on their details.

Wife's Birthday Trip
The Doubletree Hotel is perfectly located for, and within walking distance of both, fun and business. Being so close to the capital building, banks and the honky-tonks of Broadway gives it a distinct advantage over other hotels. We were there for fun and the hotel provided us with reservations, maps, tips and free shuttle service to the downtown area attractions. The staff was very friendly and could not do enough for us.

Jimmy Kelly's is a great steakhouse and if the shuttle driver is not busy, she will take you there (and pick you up) even though it is a little beyond the normal shuttle range.

Hmmmm. It is the Doubletree: however, needs improvement
The hotel is in a perfect location downtown. Close to Broadway and restaurants. The room needed work. The ceiling was peeling off in the bathroom and the furniture was worn and needed repair. The money for this place was not a great deal; however, we love the Doubletree and will stay here again.
