Beware of the "extras" that costs!!!!

The room was great. However, it costs $13.oo to self-park or $16.00 for vallet parking. So you don't even get one free parking spot even when booking a room. Then, breakfast appears to be continental until a lady asks how you want the ticket!? The "breakfast buffet" costs $9.95/each that is not noted until after-the-fact! I think these things should either be included in the fee for the room or posted to be easily seen! Overall, we spent a good bit of money on things you would think would be included at such a nice hotel!

Less than Stellar Marriott Courtyard

Good location, however the hotel room furnishings are very old, carpet worn and dirty. Beds well worn. The best thing about this hotel was the water pressure...however not enough good to overcome bad, would not stay here again. -- Road Warrior

Not what you'd expect from Marriott

The hotel is overdue for a major renovation. When I complained to the manager about the hot tub,ice machine, electrical outlets, etc...all being out of service, he shared with me that they are schediuled for renovation this summer. Unfortunately, that doesn't help those of us who stay there prior to that. Big disappointment.

You can do better

The equipment in the fitness room was broken. When you exit the parking garage, which costs an additional $13 a day, the exit is so steep that the front end of my car scraped every time no matter how slowly I drove. There is no free continental breakfast, you have to pay extra for that as well. The location was convenient to lots of restaurants on the plus side.

August 2010 Review

Staff was great and very helpful but the facilities are in need of an overhaul. Carpets were stained badly. Furniture was in need of replacement, faucets in bathtub were barely working and the metal was corroded. Curtains were hanging off hooks in hallway and were wringled and disheveled in the room.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Many excellent dining establishments near by within walking distance or short drive. Only a few blocks away from Vanderbilt and close to interstate. Location is an A+

Nashville Trip

We visited BB Kings to watch our son play in the Kyle Wyley Revue. We wanted a place close enough to walk, which we did, but it was a long walk. I wish i had known the geography better before booking the room. I am familiar with Courtyard and found the overall experience more expensive than most other Courtyards at which i have stayed.

quick trip

Hotel was not as nice as I would expect a Marriott to be. Smelled bad in the halls, and bathroom had issues. There is no free continental breakfast and the buffet that was provided was a bit pricey.

Gotcha

Your basic and pretty average hotel room. Midtown Grill across the street is a great place to go for dinner. Got my bill in the morning and found a $17 charge for parking that was not made known at the time of reservation or check in. Buyer Beware

Birthday Excursion

Our first time to Nashville. We had a blast and the hotel was close enough to all the happening venues. The free shuttle was very convenient. Would stay there again.
