Nice Downtown Hotel

Conveniently located in downtown Nashville. Great staff, parking, and clean rooms. Hotel was undergoing renovations and construction noise started at 8 am in the morning. No ability to sleep in, plan accordingly.

Average Hotel can get better in the area

This is my first and only stay in Nashville so far, so I'll put that as a disclaimer. When I shopped around this hotel had the best price of the bigger hotels by a minimal amount. O- said that it had free parking (which it did not). So I thought I could save a good deal of money and still stay downtown. For business travelers don't bother with this. Like I said I had to pay for parking so the amount saved was like $20 a night or something like that. Not worth it for what the hotel has. Almost no amenities, little bit of a further walk from convention center and the district. I walked through some of the other hotels and when compared to the other hotels in the downtown area there really isn't a comparision go with the others. But if you want to stay downtown and save a few extra dollars then this hotel is perfect. I would say it is one step above a motel so don't expect to much.

Construction & outside entry to room

As a single woman traveling I was very uncomfortable with the room having an outside entry - I did not feel safe at all. Also the hotel is under construction and that should be noted when making reservations.

Not so great

Stayed because really wanted downtown hotel for walking convenience, all other hotels were booked for Titans and Music City Bowl. Would not rate as a 3 star. The room was clean which is a definite plus, however, the hotel is run down...were doing some remodeling, but still not impressed. Valet parking only. Desk staff and valet were very nice and helpful.

worst hotel on a 5 week USA holiday

First appearance at reception said "dingy'. This was verified by the overall grotty condition of hotel, the room was dank and airless. The sheets and pillow cases looked like they had not been been washed after previous occupants slept there. Staff decidedly unfriendly. Rooms unfortunately share a common balcony, had a loud group partying outside our door at 3am. So bad had to book out next morning and find alternative accommodation. Would suggest this hotel be taken off any booking lists.

Great location and value

Perfect location for a long weekend: a few easily walkable blocks to the Ryman, Tootsie's, Layla's, Jack's BBQ, and the central bus terminal (express service to Opryland Hotel/Opry Mills mega-mall and also the airport). Quick cab ride to the clubs on Church St. Comfortable room w/new bathroom; friendly and helpful staff; complimentary continental breakfast was a plus. Can't do better on a budget.

Good value for a downtown hotel

This place is a recently-renovated but older hotel with outside entrances to all the rooms. It is more secure than that sounds, though, since access to the guest floors is still through the main lobby and elevator. However the walls are bit thin, and light sleepers might be bothered by the street noise. Rooms have been recently renovated, and are nearly spotless. My room had a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker, but an old tube TV (not HD and not widescreen). Complimentary expanded continental breakfast is better than most and served until 10 AM even on weekdays. The price I paid was less than hlf of any other downtown hotel, and the location is an easy walk to the convention center (4 blocks) and lower Broadway (6 blocks). Valet parking is mandatory and will cost you an extra 16 bucks and change, but parking anywhere downtown is gonna run 10-12 per day, so it's not all that bad, really. Staff was very pleasant, accommodating and very helpful. Overall, a great value for a downtown hotel, if you don't mind the few negatives I mentioned.
