Room was comfortable . Easy walking distance from dining shopping and night life. Trolley system just a step out the back of the hotel was very convenient. Wasn't harassed to badly by the homeless but they were everywhere ...4 stars!

Pleasant Stay
The room was small but very comfortable. I am unsure of the amenities because we just used the room for sleep. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room which was nice. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous. The trolley stop is right outside the hotel lobby, and Beale Street is only a few blocks away. We enjoyed our stay.

Sept. 3, 2011 Bad place to stay!
We stayed at the Sleep inn last night in Memphis Tn, it was our first time at a sleep inn and it will be our last. There was no pool. The hotel room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. No privacy for the bathroom. No balcony. No screen in the window on the 6th floor. One employee at sleep inn told us we could swim next door at the mariott, but that wasn't true. The breakfast was awful (ceareal, coffee, apples, bagels, and if you waited in a 20 minute line you could make a waffle. Out our window our view was a trolly and a small park area where 30-50 homeless people stay and you can see from your window. there wasn't enough parking in the parking lot and we had to use valet. parking is $12. it was rough. memphis is a rough and dirty town. we were supposed to stay a second night but we checked out early. it was bad.

Sleep inn
I have stayed at the Sleep in a couple of times before and were very pleased, this time was different, our room was not cleaned one day, the TV was all snowy, and coffe was not resuppliedm we ordered a taxi from the front desk the night before our eary departure and one was not called. I don't know if I would stay here again

Sleep Inn at Court Square Downtown
Graceland, Stax Museum, Sun Records, Drive-in Theatre, and of course Beale Street. The staff could have been more friendly, some were some could care less to give you the time of day. The website indicated $8 parking, it was $12 when we got there and they didn't care about the difference. Had to pay the $12 (that was per night). Room keys were difficult to use, had to get them reset, this had not happened before. Overall, good trip. Would go back, just not so sure it would be this hotel.

Most entertainment was within walking distance or by Trolly. The valet was the most helpful for suggestions and directions.

The most frustrating part was finding it with an address of Front St -- I should have checked the map better and saw you had to drive down a narrow street to the actual hotel. We had no problems parking like others, but it was mid May (before tourist season). Rooms seemed freshly remodeled and were very nice with a flat panel TV and desk unit. Free wireless. Unfortunately Beale St was pretty dead the two nights we were there: Sunday and Monday. We still were able to walk to MLK Jr and the Rock n Soul museum during the day and had a good time.

Look for places to eat between hotel and Beale St -- we found Bardog Tavern which is a small hole in the wall bar between hotel and Beale St with surprisingly good bar food (and breakfast the next morning!).

Pretty good service but not a good value
The hotel was in a great location and almost everyone working there was friendly. The only real downside to this hotel is the price. The room was small and no room service was available. Not a real big deal but once you get above the $100 a night range you start to expect a little more. This hotel is all about location.
