Beautiful hotel

We watched the ducks enter the fountain at 11AM. The ducks were very active then, enjoying bathing and splashing around. The experience could be improved by an addition by the hotel like an included picture by the fountain or something fun to take home. We celebrated our wedding anniversary in Memphis. We ate at the fabulous Texas de Brazil which we walked to from the The Peabody. It is literally next door! Then we attended a performance at The Playhouse on the Square...wonderful!

Perfect Peabody

The Peabody is located a few blocks from Beale street and not more than 30 minutes by car to top restaurants, though some are also within walking distance. Shopping, drinking, and eating activities in the hotel are wonderful. The parade of the ducks a nice added feature. Service is execellent, which in our case included the front desk, wake up calls, room service, maid service, and the security office. The only two negatives - pool is in the basement, no sunlight at all and while the rooms offer wireless connection, the connection is not secured forcing one to work in the business center for an additional charge.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Take the Blues City Tour of Sun Studio - lots of music history in Memphis - gospel, blues, country and rock n roll. Stax and civil rights museum also worth visiting. Go to Graceland and see other Elvis exhibits near the property. Whether you liked him or not, a good walk in music history and in this icon's life.
