The jazzy spirit of Memphis is brought to life at the Madison Hotel.

This boutique luxury hotel dazzles the senses with its striking interiors. Its contemporary style is best defined by its bold use of colors, geometric patterns and modern furnishings. Sexy yet comfortable, this stylish luxury hotel is the select address for cosmopolitan travelers. It is known as downtown Memphis' most celebrated luxury venue and the 1st Small Luxury Four Diamond Hotel - The Madison.

Just steps from downtown's historic Main Street Trolley with access to Beale Street, the Orpheum Theatre, Fed Ex Forum, Red Birds Stadium, the Mississippi Riverfront and many more area attractions, the Madison Hotel offers all the convenience of a select travel destination. Still, one step inside the elegant lobby and you'll know that Memphis' finest hotel is anything but touristy.

Each of the 110 guest rooms and suites is designed with an eclectic flair all its own, with the comforts technology and amenities you'd expect from a AAA Four Diamond Award winner, a Conde' Nast Top 75 U.S. Hotel, and a Travel + Leisure Top 500 World Hotel. Downy Italian linens and duvets made from 100% Egyptian cotton, and steeping bathtubs await business travelers and vacationers alike, and the hotel's perfect location ensures a peaceful night's sleep after a full day.

The intimate martini lounge, lobby mezzanine, world-class fitness room and weeping rooftop garden offer multiple options for a relaxing escape. But the Madison's crown jewel is its cozy restaurant, Eighty3, widely recognized for its original takes and creatively prepared World cuisine. See why Madison Hotel is synonymous with "luxury". Experience the unparalleled service, the refined Southern charm, and the classic European elegance of downtown's most distinctly cosmopolitan address. Review what its guests have to say about their experiences and then experience it for yourself. Welcome to luxury. Welcome to the magnificent Madison Hotel.

Visiting the King

First room was next to the turbines and the roof of the restaurant/bar next door. Second room had a lovely view of the alley (with trash bins and garbage noise in AM). Overall, it was bareable - barely noticed neighbors, above/below/ beside, but the trucks can be noisy. Bed was more on the soft side for me (mild-moderate back problems, I prefer low firm mattress). Pillows had to be doubled up. Curtains kept AM light out. What truly grossed us out was the lovely rot brown stains in the mini fridge. We asked the front desk to emphasize to the cleaning crew to clean it. The stains remained, I was grossed out, made me wonder about the rest (what I canNOT see), never used the fridge. The rest of the room looked clean I'm sure they cleaned the surface structures, but that fridge disgusted me. Staff - kinda boring, not out of their way on anything, just blended in. It did take a while to get help with luggage when leaving. I don't mind waiting 15-20 min, but with low incoming clients (on a Monday 10 AM), the 45 min wait was irritating.

Couple getaway

We wanted to get away for a few days and the Madison was the perfect place. We walked about 6 blocks to Beale Street every evening. The rooftop was spectacular viewing the sunset. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Junior suite and it was very spacious, lots of room for the 2 of us. Definitely should stay at the Madison!

Awesome Weekend!!

We stayed at the Madison over the 4th of July holiday weekend. The hotel/staff are excellent, and the roof bar is fabulous too!! We hung out at the Twilight Sky Terrace to watch the fireworks, and were able to see not only the Memphis show, but also fireworks all along the horizon to the west. Excellent Location, will stay here again!!

Poor cleaning

Our room was very dirty with dead insects lying around. The bed was small. We always had to phone for what we needed, like shampoo or toilet roll. If you used it up that was tough, it didn't get replaced! There is a lovely roof top bar though with stunning views.

AMAZING

From Memphis and have never stayed at this gem! The suite was immaculate and EVERYONE was so nice and accommodating! Room service and bar were on point and the food is great. the style of the room and hotel in general is very upscale and contemporary... not your run of the mill chain place for sure!

Not clean

The lack of cleanliness let this hotel down. It is a bit overpriced for room only. There are much better places to stay although I wouldn't return to Memphis

Grizzlies Game

I love this hotel. This is my 10 stay. The location is close to perfect. The rooms are decorated to fit the musical heritage of the city. The staff has not let me down yet. The roof top bar is a great place to start or end your evening. You can't beat the view at sunset.
