Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Not a whole lotof restaurants in the area. If you want decent Memphis cuisine, call Marlowe's restaurant and they will send a pink limo to pick you up and drop you off. It is located on Elvis Presley Blvd.

Frankly Speaking.
Mine was a strictly utility overnite visit. I arrived late and left early. This room was reasonably clean but had no amenities (No coffee or coffee maker, dishes or cups, bathroom wastebasket/tissue, writing pad or pen). Some cups were brought in response to my phone call. One mattress could be updated. The strongest asset is its location - excellent because most of the nearby hotels/motel have unsavory reps. Homestead is an oasis in its location. I know that as a former Memphis resident. . ,

Very rundown
Hotel needs work - everything worn down and over used. Kitchenette had no tools - cups, plates, etc.

Weekend getaway
This hotel was nice for the price. The location was safe and the staff was friendly. The rooms weren't anything special, just an ordinary hotel room but if you just need a hotel for a few days then I would deff. recommend this hotel. The lobby smelled like smoke but the room was fine. I came to go to the Memphis Zoo and this hotel worked out perfectly for me since I was only at the hotel to sleep.

alright hard to find
The room was clean, nothing fancy. The location was very hard to find. The airport shuttle was not running. Would be alright for a longer stay.

Overnight Visit
Nice enough for hotel. Extremely happy with the price. Not as clean as could be, with cigarette butts in hallways and stairwells. Also in my kitchen drain. Overall, for last minute booking, My guest and I had no real complaints. I would book again if needed.

Dont stay at the Memphis Homestead...
I arrived at Memphis Airport and this site said hotel has free airport shuttle! yes they do... it took them 45min to pick me up and they were 5min drive from the Airport. I get to the Hotel and check in... and I'm told by the front desk that my section of the hotel has no house keeping and if I wanted clean sheets and towles, I would have to bring down my dirty ones and swap them... I get to the room and it stinks of cooking oil.. as it has a self contained kitchen... not worth the money.... better of staying at the courtyard Marriott...
